The consultation went fine. Scheduled the procedure. Arrived on time for my appointment. Sat around in the waiting room past my appointment time for awhile just for them to come out and tell me the lasik machine had broken and they were waiting for technician to come fix it. They told me I could wait in the waiting room with everybody else waiting for their appointments or I could go home and come back in a few hours. My friend who came with me (since you can't drive yourself home afterwards) and i told them we would be back and we went across the street to catch a movie that was starting right then. Before the movie was over they were calling me asking me where was i. "Um... you told me it was going to be a few hours." "We're ready to go and we need you back here now so we can shut down the office." I was the first appointment that morning and I ended up being the last one out. I then went in for my follow up appointment a couple days later and they had my records all messed up. They thought I was there for my initial consultation. I had to tell them multiple times I was not there for my initial consultation. At the end of that appointment they had me schedule my one year follow up appointment. Something was presented as part of the procedure. I scheduled it. Fast forward a year and couple days before the appointment they call me and tell me they have to reschedule and they push it out two months. Now it has come time for my one year and two months follow up appointment and they are telling me that it will be an additional $200. My suggestion to anybody looking at having lasik done; don't go here. Don't go to any Mann Eye location. They're all run out of their Houston office and they do not have their act together.

My appt at 10. After eye dilation and lots of scans, I was put into a room forever. I felt they forgot me. Finally, I saw the Dr. Afterwards, After discussing 3 levels of surgery, financing and cost, I realized they kept referring to starting on my left eye. The cataract is in right eye. I am not going back.

I had cataract surgery at Mann Eye Institute. During the surgery, a part of my cornea was damaged. I lost most of my vision in the affected eye. Im recovering from a corneal transplant surgery at another clinic now and thankfully I have a good chance of recovering my eyesight. This has caused me severe hardship and expense since I had to pay 1000s for the failed surgery and more for the transplant to repair the damage. I dont know exactly what went wrong or if it could have been prevented. Based on my experience, I dont recommend Mann Eye Institute or plan to return there.

Can you please turn off the neon lights at a reasonable hour? I live across the street and it lights up my entire apartment even with the blinds down.

This was a very unprofessional clinic. They cancelled the surgery date 2 hours prior to the procedure time. This has happened twice and still have not been able to get my surgery done.
