They cannot get the glasses correct. I could not see out of them and After 4 months of sending my glasses off and it taking a month each time to get them back in I requested a refund and I am now getting a runaround on getting my money back.

I had the Refractive Lens Exchange done by Mann Eye in October 2020 which I had to pay over $12K out of pocket for the procedure. I was told I "might" have to use reading glasses to read prescription bottles but otherwise should not have to wear glasses. Well, I had problems afterwards from slight blurriness in the beginning and spider web lights coming from car lights and street lamps. I was told it would go away after a few months. I called back after a few months and was told to give it more time. I called back after a year and was told to give it another year that my brain had to adjust. After 2 years I called back and said vision was worse. They finally said to come in to have it checked. I was told at that time I had scarring behind the lens' and that this is normal and can happen from this surgery. I was told to come in to have it fixed on both eyes, which I scheduled for January 2023. I was also told that I would be called if there was going to be a charge but they did not know but I would receive a call at least a day or two prior. I did not. I showed up and was told I had to pay $400 for each procedure. I asked why and the front desk did not know so I asked for a call back from billing. No one called. I then went back for the 2nd eye and mentioned it again the front desk said oh I see someone was supposed to call you but it isn't billing it is the office manager, Alexandra. It took 3 weeks to get a call back and then she said the fees are due to being a different procedure, even though it was a result from the original procedure. She admitted that when I had the original procedure, I was not properly informed and that Mann Eye has updated this consent to make sure their patients are educated to understand they will have to pay for the additional procedures, resulting from the scarring of the original procedure if they so choose. I asked for some type of consideration since I did not get this same opportunity and she abruptly stated there was nothing to provide consideration for. they would not even give a measly discount or gift card or anything. LAter she called back and left a message, saying she would provide some type of refund and then after another week change her mind again. So nothing. They drug me along for nearly 2 years when I called several times stating my eyes were not right and then charge $400 per eye for a 30 second procedure.

Had Refractive lens exchange at Mann Eye 2 years ago and have repeatedly informed them my eyes were still blurry. This procedure was an out of pocket costs of $12,000. They kept saying give it more time and my eyes will adjust. Finally after 2 years they say there is scarring from the original surgery and I had to have 2 more procedures. They said the additional costs are not covered by the original one even though they did not inform me of this from the beginning. I had to pay for two more procedures out of pocket. The office manager, Alexandra said they have updated their consent form now but when I had my original procedure it was not included. She was not willing to provide any kind of adjustment at all, not even a measly 5% discount. They are not very communicative and it is really hard to even get a call back. It took me over 3 weeks to get a call.

I did not have a good experience here. You cannot directly call the Georgetown, Sun City, location. All calls are routed through another location. I was on hold 15 minutes, then disconnected twice while trying to check on a contact order. I finally had to just walk in there physically and order the contacts myself after waiting 2 WEEKS for the order to come in with no communication from the office staff. Regarding my exam appointment, I didn't realize ahead of time, but the person who conducted my exam and subsequent surgery recommendation was not a Medical Doctor. The person who is in scheduling couldn't answer my questions about the type of procedure that was recommended. Their procedure is that if you agree to surgery, you are directed to go to a surgery center the day of surgery without ever meeting in person with the doctor who will perform the surgery! They couldn't even tell me the doctor's name who would perform the surgery so I could do some research. Yikes! I didn't feel safe and well taken care of there and don't recommend this practice!
