Mann Eye 2 in Humble next to Half-Price Books. I followed my optometrist of 20 years here. Dr Mark Rinkoff is an excellent Doctor and has always provided excellent treatment. However, I recently scheduled an appointment for my son, requesting Dr Rinkoff. The appointment was set. We arrived at the appointment time only to be told Dr. Rinkoff was not in. I explained that we preferred hom, so they offered to reschedule it "when he would be in." I asked what next week looked liked, and they said "he's on a medical leave & we don't know when he'll be back."It gets WORSE. As we are already here, I decide to go ahead, but I asked if they could reference my son's last eye exam. To which they replied "not without Dr Rinkoff's prior approvsl." So the fact that he is in this practice is no benefit at all. I asked if they knew if Dr. Rinkoff would be back at all......and of course they couldn't tell me that either. This is called "bait & switch" in the con artist world. My idea about professionalism does not include "bait & switch." When you're a customer OR patient, you become highly offended when a "business" treats you with a "take it or leave it" attitude. This office can't answer any question for me, they cannot even assure me that my son's prior specific exam can be viewed by a new OD.I understand that I may need a new eye doctor. That happens. But this entire experience has encouraged me to look for a different address AND practice to go along with a new dictor.

Beware of this locations shady billing practices. They will tell you they did more during the examine that is why they are charging more than they originally quoted.sort of like a scam artist. They attempted to charge me $350 out of pocket fee for contact lenses examine (in addition to what the insurance pays them) Actually my out of pocket fee should be $10.00.Scheduled an examine, verified with VSP Insurance and Manns Eye front desk to verify my co pay info for the examine - $10.00.So after the examine ,Mann Eye 2 tried to charge me 350.00 for contact lenses examineNOT having it. called VSP ..they informed me they pay the Mann eye their allotted portion and I should pay my copay ($10.00). So that is what I did and the front office gave me a receipt with a zero balanceFast forward 6 months later, I get the exact same bill in the mail stating I owe $350.00! Wow what a slick bunch at that location, trying to cheat their customers out of money!I have contacted our legal department to find out what I can do about Mann Eyes underhanded billing practicesHas anyone else had this problem with them? Please let me know. Perhaps together we can stop their slimy ways.

Really disappointed in this place. Went for the first time and was encouraged to change the brand of contact lenses that I used to a much more expensive daily version which cost $200 every 90 days. Over the 90 days I have not enjoyed this lens and my vision is not as clear as it used to be so now that I am due to purchase more contacts, I called to see if they could either switch me back to my old lens or give me a sample of another daily lens brand. I was told that my prescription had already been "finalized" and I could not get a different brand. When I expressed confusion about that because I've never had that experience with other optometry places she then said I could come in and pay to see the doctor again and then they would allow me to change my lens. I think that is completely ridiculous. When I've already paid to see you for an eye exam (which I might add I had to wait over an hour past my appointment because you were double booked) and you switch the brand of contacts I use, you should work with me if I am having trouble in the lens. She said its because its been over 45 days. Well, when you sell me a 90 day supply of lenses, of course its more than 45 days. At a cost of $200, I had to use up the box before making a switch. I guess I will be finding myself another eye doctor that can better help me without constantly charging me.
