    Asked for a prescription to help my red eyes. Was given something that worked. Went back for a follow up and the doctor was surprised I was taking the medications (the ones he told me to use). I asked to make sure the new meds were very expensive. Gave me something that costs $2,000 a month and told me to stop using the drops that worked. The new meds made my eyes so red I cant go to work. The doctor wont send me a prescription for the original medication that worked until I come in for another appointment. Highly recommended!!

    I called and set up an appointment. I was told my insurance was accepted, drove 40 minutes, and received a call saying they did not accept my insurance. One hour twenty minutes and fuel wasted. Very unprofessional. I used the elder Dr. Mann for surgery back in the 90s. You can tell he has retired. The company and services are not what they used to be.

    I thought that with their reviews, and my BFF has used them her whole life, Mann Eye would be excellent choice in handling my rare eye disease. It recently glared up and significantly caused vision loss recently to the point I cannot see toread, write, observe and recognize facial expressions.....like a big blob blurr in my central vision. I'm a under 40 mother of 5 that is having extreme difficulty in this new page in my life. Anyways first of all Fannin location downtown houston medical center...is not easy to get too and has construction in front ...unclear parking...traffic insane..lol but the level of service I experienced was blatantly traumatizing. Add a little rain and anxiety over my new vision loss and had to ask friend to take me....having to newly depend on people to help do the things I normally did myself is extremely hard and to adjust to as a person. Needless to say I was 20 minutes late...I even called realizing this was gonna happen due to all the factors stated above. The front desk when u walk in had 3 ladies behind it. Not busy with others but too involved with their personal agendas to get up from behind counter to greet visually impaired guests and help with checking in....omg the little girl Brittany sent me to the kiosk after approached to ask where to go what to do....she pointed kiosk! I was beyond words at this point and was in tears ...where is the empathy and compassion in healthcare. Shame on yall this has truly affected me in my search for treating my condition. Please for the sake of us visually impaired hire empathetic compassionate people whom isn't just there to collect a paycheck but to improve the lives of the people that walk through your front door. It is truly traumatic losing your vision or experiencing vision loss and even eye pain. And get rid of the kiosk seriously your you ked center in US and expect a little kiosk for check in screen size as atm???? SmH

    Back in October 2020 I purchased a pair of what I thought were High Qualify Frames at Mann and due to the Pandemic it took almost a month n a half to finally get them. Now, a few months later the left earpiece just fell off for no reason. I had gotten the warranty for them but because they fell apart on their own I figured that Mann would fix them not needing to use the warranty since I didn't break them. Go forward to July 2022 and I was told that in fact Mann used the warranty for the repair but, it was a one time replacement and the warranty was expired! So, there was Nothing they could do for me except sell me a new pair since the employee there verified first that my prescription was still current. I don't believe I will be going to take my business to Mann anymore.
