Well, it's been one year since I got LASIK done at Mann Eye and it's been a year of pain, suffering, and regret. One year later and my right eye is still blurry. One year later and over $10k spent trying to fix the damage they did to me. I 100% believe that the majority of LASIK procedures done here go well, just know that if you are one of the exceptions you will receive indifferent care at best. The only reason I'm writing this review now is that my lawyer explained that Texas has such a low cap on malpractice damages, that it would cost me more than I could win if I sue them for ruining my vision for over a year. When I woke up Saturday morning a week after my surgery to a burning pain in my right eye and completely blurred vision, I was terrified. I tried to call the doctor who did my procedure (Doctor Brian Wright, avoid him at all costs) his phone was off. The person I was told that I could reach in an emergency, the person who was supposedly responsible for my care, was completely unavailable when I needed him most. I did manage to get through to Dr. Michael Mann who, despite being out of town for a conference, took the time to listen to me and give me the best course of action he could from five states away and no awareness of me as a patient. He even called to follow up on me, so shout out to Dr. Mann, I wish he had done my LASIK. Fast forward to monday when I am able to see the doctor, no apology from Dr. Wright, no compassion, no treatment plan, just quick check then out the door. Long story short, something during my procedure damaged the epithelium on my right eye so at night it would stick to my eyelid and tear. very painful, made my right eye mostly useless for vision purposes. I was in pain most nights, and the only treatment plan I was given was to use hundreds of dollars of artificial tears a month and put an ointment in my eye every night. I asked if I would have to do this for the rest of my life and I got a *shrug* and "probably". At this point, I stopped wasting my time at Mann Eye and tried to find the best cornea specialist in Houston, and eventually found Dr. John Goosey at the Houston Eye Institute. Thanks to him and the treatments he's be working on with me, my right eye is finally clear enough to drive safely and live my life mostly normally, and he is hopeful that we will eventually get me back to full healing. If you want LASIK, go see Dr. Goosey and don't waste your time at Mann. Go to a doctor who will actually care, communicate, and is committed to your recovery. I will never get back the past year of vision that Mann Eye took from me, or the pain I suffered or money I spent. I just hope no one else makes the mistake that I did.

I paid $300 dollars for pre-op tests, this doctor spent two minutes looking at my eyes, mumbled something and walked out of the room.In my opinion, he is focused on collecting money for surgery and not on the patient. Find a doctor that cares about your vision.

This is the worst clinic. The staff and office manager are unprofessional, provide conflicting information, don't return calls or emails. I paid $300 dollars for the pre-op tests for Cataract surgery, was scheduled for July 5th. No call the day prior to the surgery or on the morning of the surgery. When I called the clinic, I was told that the surgery had been canceled. When I complained to the office manager he reported that the regional office would call. Now, the office won't take my calls or return calls.I paid out of pocket for the pre-op tests. This office is going to keep the fee's that I paid and won't provide a copy of my test results. So, I've lost $ 300 dollars to this clinic. In my opinion Dr. Mann is a awful doctor that focuses on making money and stealing from the patients. Don't support this awful clinic.

I had made an appointment for my child to get a chalazion removed. When I spoke with the receptionist before asking about my insurance and what my payment would be at the time she assured me that it could've been done the same day. Ok, great!! Well when we arrived all of a sudden they don't have my insurance and I said yes you do because I was told how much I would be paying today. Took my child to the back without me in there because I had stepped out and looked at her eye just to tell me that their office doesn't do chalazion removals. Ok, ma'am then why are we in the back room if this office doesn't do the procedure. Nonsense maybe I should bring pictures next time to ask if they do anything that looks like this. I guess you get what you pay for lol nothing.

The medical personnel in this office do not wear masks. During the eye exam the doctors face was within inches of my face. I did wear a mask. This is risky medical protocol by the doctor given the highly contagious Covid variants that are circulating. About 24 hours after the Mann eye appointment I tested positive for Covid. Im elderly and live alone so have few exposures to other people. Patients beware.
