Appointment that should have taken 30 mins took 2 hrs. They told me the incorrect information about my coverage and it was a hassle to get thing's correct. I will say the optometrist and optometrist assistant were extremely nice and did great work.

STEER CLEAR OF SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES! I had Lasik on 2/3 and when anyone asks me who did my surgery, I let them know to stay AWAY from Mann Eye. I was originally quoted $2900/eye, but their current promotion was for -$1200 off. My Lasik consultation took 3 hours, so the financial assistant knocked off an additional $300, bringing my Lasik quote to $4480. I was referred by a friend who paid $3600, and I was told that her price would be honored, and I would only pay $3600 once they attached her info to my profile.Fast forward a couple of weeks, and2/17 or Monday 2/20. my account statement says $4480. I contacted financial and she then enlightened me that they do not price match, the current promotion is -$1200, and I received an additional -$300 off for the referral. NOT TRUE. She stated the -$300 was for waiting for so long, and that I would pay $3600 as that was what the referral cost was. She slapped me in the face with a -$100 off for sunglasses. NO THANK YOU. I will not do business with crooks and I WILL let everyone know that this institute lies and does not keep their word. Shame on me for trusting such a large institute and not getting these things written on paper! Also, the Lasik recovery has been AWFUL!Edit: I emailed my contact information to Courtney (below), and never heard back from Administration on Friday 2/17 or on Monday, 2/20. I sent another email to Courtney late on 2/20 to let her know that no one has contacted me. Will update my review as events play out.

I'm going to begin this review by confirming that our experience was so poor, I requested to speak with the office manager. I was told the manager was not available, and asked to wait for a call-back. I've been waiting 24+ hours for a response, and now that Mann Eye has texted me asking me to complete a review about my visit, here I am writing a review. This is the second time we've had a poor experience. To their credit, I will say we have always had a good experience with our doctor, and most of the office staff. Everyone has been kind, and no one has been rude. However, their office is poorly managed, resulting in a painful customer experience that has led me to seek out a different practice. I would not recommend Mann Eye whatsoever, despite the positives listed. The first time we had a poor experience, I waited over 45 minutes for the staff to verify my insurance when I arrived for my appointment, despite having provided my insurance cards and completed all of thepre-registration forms through their portal in advance. When I showed up onsite, I was told they were having trouble validating my insurance and that I had two options: (1) pay the cash price, or (2) reschedule. I was told that if I paid the cash price, and they were later able to verify my insurance, I would not be refunded. Is that even legal? Needless to say, I waited around for 45 minutes hoping they could figure it out. During that time, I was able to call my insurance company myself and verify my coverage was in effect. I conveyed the details to the office staff, but their computers were having "issues" so they couldn't verify my coverage. Facing the option of either paying the cash price or rescheduling, I simply left. I did not reschedule and instead, sought care at Houston Eye Center, where I have been very pleased.I suppose my second mistake was continuing tokeep my children's care withMann Eye. On this most recent visit, my daughter and I were returning for her contact lens fitting. We waited for 25 minutes beyond our appointment time in the waiting room beforebeing called back. After we were called back, the nurse went to locate the contacts for my daughter to try. The nurse returned with the unfortunate news that the office was out of stock of all contacts in my daughter's prescription. We were told we'd have to reschedule and come back another day. I questioned the nurse right there onsite, expressing my frustration, asking why theycouldn't have communicated this in advance of our appointment, and asking what steps they took to prepare for a visit. I was told there's a miscommunication that often occurs between the call center scheduling appointments and the on-site office staff, and that this happens sometimes. In summary, I'm beyond frustrated and annoyed. Their office is mismanagedand patients are suffering. We will be returning to obtain contacts for my daughter, only because we've already completed our eye exams and other evaluations at Mann Eye and I do not want to start the complete process over at a different practice. However, once we obtain her contacts, our entire family will be moving to Houston Eye Center for our future care.

Not happy with The Woodlands location at all. I had a follow up appointment for an eye problem at 1:05pm. As I sat waiting for them to take me back. 5 people came in after me and were seen. finally 45 minutes later they took me back. Where a totally different doctor came in. The original doc had apparently quit. This new doctor told me a different opinion (from what I was told) of my eye problem. He asked if I wanted a prescription for dry eyes, I said yes and they called it in to my Pharmacy. I went to get it... and the pharmacy said it was $2,000.00 !! WTH is this? I then called the office back to complain and was told they were transferring me to the office manager. SHE did not answer her phone and I had to leave her a message to call me back.. and she never did!. Here in 2019 Dr Mann Sr. did my cataract where I paid out of pocket $8,400.00! However now they obviously feel... we got your money so to bad for you! First off they wasted my time, then they flipidly give me (a retired person on SS) a $2,000.00 prescription??? (Are they getting a payoff from this ROUGE drug company??) And then did not call me back to discuss it! If your smart you will stay clear from this practice!
