2/27/2018- The Staff and technicians were excellent, but when Dr.Mann came in the room I was shocked at how unproffessional and cocky he was. I heard him talking loudly about my condition in the hallway, then he barged in like a whirlwind: loud, hyper, anxious, smacking on gum. He had me diagnosed within the 1 minute he was in the room. After a few seconds he introduced himself. He sat down and looked in my eyes through the machine, while asking where I worked and my job title? He abruptly told me I have low blood pressure and the vision loss is due to that and I should see my cardiologist about a lowering the current dose of my medication. Fact is, I have high blood pressure and it is not, and has never been low. I had to ask for dark glasses, (I was not offered any) because my eyes were dilated and very light sensitive and I was driving to work. I felt totally disregarded. A physician I know said his whole family went to different locations and all of the same expensive tests were ordered and he got suspicious of their pricing and motives.

At the time of my exam, I paid the price that they quoted me. They submitted the exam to my health insurance. The health insurance company had "negotiated" rates that were less than what I paid. So I had overpaid at the time of my visit. Months later when I called to ask if there was a difference, they said yes. It amounted to a 22% decrease in the price. They said that I had a credit to my account but they were under no obligation to contact me about the credit. I quote, " It is the patient's obligation to follow up to find out if there is a credit". What other form of business doesn't supply you with a credit notice? This is part of what is wrong with America's medical industry.
