Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! I have been going to Mann Eye for years. I love Dr Kay in the Humble office & will continue to see him because of my dry eye issue but I will NEVER... NEVER again order a pair of glasses from them!!!!! It's been 6 weeks since I ordered (and paid for) my new glasses, was told that they would be ready in 3!!! I've been calling since the 4th almost 5 week and am told every time (5 times now) that someone will call me back!!! NOT ONCE has anyone returned my call to SIMPLY let me know where my glasses are!!! Just called again and was put through to Ashley (the office manager no doubt) and she sent me to voice mail!!!! There is NO excuse for this!!

Shocking that the easily frustrated obese lady is a doctor. Could not come close to focusing my eyes in then got frustrated and dilated my eyes before she knew what I needed. Thank you supposed Dr. Child for wasting my Saturday. I would not even go to the bathroom there with three ladies sitting at the counter doing nothing.

They do not answer your questions via the Patient Portal. After my first visit, I had concerns about medications. Called the office and only get the call center. Left messages for call back. Even gave the call center my questions. I wrote an email on the Patient Portal as well. Hoping that the doctor or assistants will reply via the portal like my family doctor. End of day, I called once more. I was assured someone would call me before end of day..guess what..nope. Called Monday (after a whole weekend of worry) and finally got a call back. 2nd visit..Have concerns about expensive procedure that was recommended. Wrote email on patient portal about concerns and requesting answers. Again no reply.. very hard to get answers. Very worried about doing the procedure and then not able to get hold of doctor if I have issues after procedure. Does the doctors and assistants not review patient portals ? What is the point of the patient portal..

I called to make an appointment to take care of a chalazion on my right eye. I was able to schedule for the same day (5/18/2021)....the fact that I had the procedure same day was nice. The procedure went fine. It felt a little rushed, but it was fine. That was where my good experience ended. After the procedure, I checked out. It wasn't until I got to my car that I realized I didn't get any aftercare instructions. Not a problem, I thought. I'll just call and have them email the instructions. I called and left a message. No response. I called my pharmacy and was told the prescription that Dr. Green had sent in (doxycycline 200mg slow release) was going to be $70. I've never paid that much for an antibiotic. I called Mann Eye back and was told to go on "goodrx.com" and use the coupon for it. There is no coupon for this dosage medication on there. The pharmacy confirmed this. After calling on 4 separate occasions over 2 days. I got someone on the phone. They said that Dr. green refused to change the prescription because "that's what she prescribes". It's hard for me to believe there is no alternative to a $70 medication. The lady (Cathy) that I spoke with informed me that she would have to handle it tomorrow because she gets off at 5pm and that's the soonest she would be able to get to it. She kept telling me to go on "Goodrx.com" to find the coupon. Again, I couldn't find it. She tried and she couldn't either. She insisted that her coworker (who conveniently wasn't in the office) had found it. $70 may not sound like a lot, but I am in the military and have limited income. My 2 y/o son was diagnosed with leukemia in January. Between paying for at home child care and cancer treatment/medications for him, I just don't have $70 to spend on an antibiotic. This is one of the most frustrating medical experiences that I've had. It seems like Dr Green isn't interested in helping. So now I'm waiting until tomorrow (48 hours after the procedure) before I can try AGAIN to get this resolved. And....I still haven't received the aftercare instructions that I requested to be emailed to me. Absolutely WILL NOT EVER recommend this place to anyone. It would be nice to speak to someone that can resolve this.
