You will never see me again, as a patient. I expected to be examined by a Medical doctor with a degree in Medicine and requested so when I made the appointment. I also requested this for my wife. This all would have been paid for by Medicare, through my insurance plan, as it has been in the past. We were rushed through the registration process, on a computer when we arrived and were told to press the approval buttons throughout. Although, we were given the option of reading the forms before approval, we assumed they were the same type of forms we always approve when we go for other medical care and did not carefully read them. Had I read them carefully, I would have walked out, as I would have done had I been informed we would not be seeing a Licensed, Medical doctor, such as those with M.D. after their name. Nor was I given, verbally, any indication that there would be a separate charge to get the prescription sheet after the exam. As we were being put through the process of testing of the eyes by a technician and machines, I asked her if she does everything or will we be seeing a doctor. She responded that the doctor will see us later. That person introduced herself as Doctor Bennet and proceeded to spend a few minutes completing the exam process. I assumed she was an MD, as she did not clarify that we were not being examined by a Medical Doctor. Nor did I notice a name tag or any other means of knowing what she was. I assumed she was an MD.I only learned the truth when I checked out and they wanted me to pay an additional 50 or 55 dollars for the "refraction(prescription), for each of us. I express my surprise, shock and displeasure at this and will take this up with my Vision Plan, as they also told me the plan would not pay for it because we had both exams on the same day. I was not told of this prior to checking out. My vision plan would have paid, otherwise, with only a small co-pay amount.THIS OPERATION SEEMS LIKE A SCAM AND FRAUD!

I WAS excited about my upcoming surgery with Mike Mann... however, upon calling for the 3rd time to confirm my surgery I was told that id be having it Dr. Barker. No one called me or told me anything, so i was going to show up on surgery date and just be told I've got a new surgeon. So unacceptable since he has the worst review out of any surgeon and was the 1 guy i was hoping to avoid in all this. Thanks Mannn Eye for wasting 3 weeks of waiting for surgery and requesting from work, just to have me request a new date and just to schedule Lasik to be done somewhere else!! SOOOOO MAD!! this is the 1st negative review I've posted in 20 years FYI

I was scheduled for surgery just to be told 3 days before surgery Dr. Barker with crappy reviews will be doing surgery and not Mike Mann... No one was going to tell me till the day of surgery. Now I've wasted requesting form work and waiting for 3 weeks... this place is a joke

So I have waited a little over a year to write this review in hopes of finding out what went wrong and getting it fixed. I had lasik April of 2020 and it went horribly from the beginning could not see at all for a week then vision completely blurry. They keep telling me my vision isn't stabilizing and it's dry eye but I have never had dry eye before and they did not tell me I did going into this. My vision is so much worse then it ever was before coming in without glasses on. We have done plugs, steroids, cequa, Restasis, Preservative free drops once every 30 minutes for over a year. Now I'm back in glasses the 2nd prescription they have given me in a month and still can't see well, but at least I can see to drive short distances and work. This has been the most miserable experience of my life not to mention the most expensive mistake and I keep having to spend more and more money. They are saying I need to go to their dry eye specialist in Houston for a few more thousand dollars. I really wanted to give a good review because the doctors and staff were super friendly and very patient but now I have been trying to get in to see them for 2 months and they switched over to an answering service in Houston and they never have time for an appointment for me. Even just made an appointment with them for the 7th of July and as soon as I told him Why I was making the appointment he put me on hold and Suddenly that day was not available for me. Interesting. So I guess it was time to write the review as it seems there is nothing they can say or do to help me. I do realize a lot of people have good results but you need to know this could also be a possibility and it's NOT worth that chance!

Dr. Gallia is outstanding. But Mann Eye has a problem with customer service.I purchased my first pair of prescription glasses in fall of 2019 which even with insurance cost several hundred dollars. Within a few months, one of the lenses fell out. This happened three times before their service folks ordered new frames. After that delayed repair, I was relieved to get the problem resolved. Only it was not. The same thing happened again! When I went back to complain I politely requested a new and different pair of glasses.I was told the glasses were out of warranty and it essentially was my fault for purchasing their defective products. As a condolence, Optical Project ManagerHeidi Nizzola told me that I would receive a 50% discount on a new pair. The final nail in the coffin was when I found out that there was no discount if I used my insurance coverage on the purchase of new glasses. These people are worthless. Go somewhere else for your eye care products.
