The front staff was nice, the rest of the staff was like a robot, I felt like I was on an assembly line and just passing through. Is this what happens when you get to big ? You loose the human touch ??

Dr. Martin is fantastic, but the office does its best to avoid honor vision insurance agreements. As the clerk stated "each office is different. " Do not expect not to get frustrated.

Let me start off by saying....usually I have very good reports for Mann Eye Clinic Katy TX location. I have been going here for the last 10 years. I was laid off along with my husband on April 15, 2020 from our place of employment. All of our benefits were ending on April 26, 2020 & we both had monies in our Health Care Spending account. On April 23, 2020 I had a appointment and ended up ordering 2 pair of glasses. The lady that waited on me in the optical department was from another Mann location. She was filling in for the day in Katy! She told me my part of the charge was going to be $877.94. So I put $250.00 on my Health Care Spending (HCS) account and $200.00 on my husbands HCS account and charged $427.94 on my credit card. I thought to my self it seemed a bit high. I figured when I came to pick up the glasses I would talk to one of their other opticians. So when I picked up the glasses I talked to a different technician & she said I was overcharged for my 2 sets of glasses. Mann Eye Clinic refunded me <$165.00> to my credit card account on 06/15/2020, but she told me I should be receiving another credit on the 2nd pair of glasses. Well on August 28, 2020 I received a refund to my HCS account for <$250.00> and a credit for <$51.01> for my husbands HCS account. So now after talking to Mercer Market Place ( the company that handled my HCS accounts) today, my husband and I are out $299.86 (my HCS) + $103.18 (his HCS) for a total of =$403.04 dollars. If the technician I talked to on 4/23/2020 had charged me the correct amount, I wouldn't have lost the $403.04. I could have sent my husband to our dentist and had some work done on his teeth before 4/26/2020. Mercer Market place told me today that my benefits ended on 4/26/2020 & our accounts were closed. To top it off on our last paychecks which was 4/24/2020 Mercer Market Place still took out an additional $ 57.69 out of both of our paychecks. I have always been very diligent about using all the monies in our HCS accounts by the end of the year! The lesson I learned from this is....if something seems off (like the money) ask to talk to some one else right then! All of my problems and lost money could have been avoided if I asked to talk to someone else! Mann Eye Clinic make sure your technicians are trained before putting them on the floor to help customers. Mann Eye Clinic needs to cancel the credit they gave to Mercer Market Place and refund the monies to me. I LOST $403.04! This HCS account is a.....Use It Or Loss It!!!!

I would not recommend Mann Eye. The initial appointment and actual day of surgery went well for the most part. Immediately after Dr Mann was supposed to check my eyes. He never came and I wasn't seen until another doctor walking by asked if I had been helped.

The follow up appointments after - that you're required to go to so you don't break your warranty - are a nightmare. The staff isn't pleasant. I've had appointments rescheduled on me last minute. I've waited over 1.5hr to see a doctor and when you ask for an update, the staff gives you passive aggressive responses that don't help.

You may be treated well before they get your $, but after that, you no longer matter. I'd recommend going to someone with better custom service.

There should be an option for 0 stars. My eye exam was fine, but that's all you should get here. If you're looking to buy glasses I suggest going to another place. I ordered a pair of glasses from these guys. It takes more than TWO WEEKS to get the pair of glasses you order from Mann Eye. Ok cool, except I get the glasses and then the frames cause me to have earaches. After having the frames readjusted many times, I realize these are the wrong frames for me. I ask for a refund (they charge a restocking fee for frames btw) and they kept stalling and coming up with excuses when I tried to contact them about my refund status. I ended up wasting a whole month dealing with these guys and their back and forth games. You call and they say they'll call you back (Hint: they won't). Their own billing company said they can't get a hold of them. One lady in particular looks at you funny like she can't understand what you're saying and you have to keep repeating simple things to her. After I finally got my refund I went to Walmart's vision center, my glasses were ready there within FOUR DAYS, cost $200 less and it featured the same lenses as Mann Eye with better customer service. To summarize, come to this location if you want to overspend AND have your time wasted. What a great deal!
