I went to Mann Eye Institute in Sugar Land to get help with severe dry eyes. I was unable to wear contacts for longer than a couple of hours without having major issues. The receptionists were incredibly rude on my very first visit and did not answer the questions I had. A few weeks after my appointment I called to order my contacts and they said they would call me back when they were ready. Over the holidays I knew there would be some delays but over 4 weeks later I called back and they never placed my order in the first place. When I asked them if they could please place my order they had the wrong contact brand and location for me on file. This eye center is completely unorganized and unprofessional. My mother just had eye surgery with them recently and also experienced the same unprofessionalism as I did. They forced her to reschedule her appointment several times and to pay with cash only, no checks or card and all at once. They offered no payment plans.

I arrived late to an appointment and was not seen for one and a half hours. I sat right in front of the receptionists (there were multiple) and I was completely ignored. I believe in customer service because I give extraordinary customer service. The receptionists were clueless and they were all very apologetic AFTER I WAITED AND ASKED FOR MY RECORDS SO I COULD TRANSFER TO FIND ANOTHER FACILITY. Terrible because this place is normally excellent, I don't know who dropped the ball but it was HUGE. I am not happy about this and I hope we all can learn from this terrible experience. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH DEALING WITH THEM! The doctors are great, however! SO SAD!

Pros: The Mann Eye Institute has a clean office, new equipment, smart doctors, state of the art techniques, etc.Cons: They will rip you off and front desk has poor customer service.I called to schedule an annual routine eye exam which is 100% covered by insurance. I left with a $280 bill. Because I mentioned that I had an 'eye twitch' while scheduling the appointment, the routine eye exam magically turned into a "medical appointment". What could I do about it after? Nothing. I called twice to resolve and never received a call back.I will not return to Mann Eye. Bring your business elsewhere.

I had a 915 appointment and, being a new patient, arrived early, around 905. After filling out all the forms, I waited in the waiting area until 950, when I was finally called for my appointment. This was the first part, where the technician did a bunch of measurements and eye tests, and by the end of that it was 1015, an hour after my appointment, and I still had not seen a doctor. They had me sit in another waiting room... finally at 1035, if you're keeping track this is nearly 1.5 hours after my appointment, I asked how much longer it would be before I got to see the doctor. About 10 minutes later, they came back and said it would be about 10 minutes. Finally, at 1050am, 1 hour and 35 minutes after my initial 915 appointment and still no sign of the doctor, I just got so fed up that I finally walked out, with no apology from the staff. How can a doctor's office expect patients to wait nearly 2 hours before they see people with appointments? Unreasonably horrible experience.
