I had lasik 2 years ago. When I was choosing my prescription (if that's what it is called) I was unsure between two choices, as one still seemed to have a smeard vision affect. I felt I was rushed to choose and they assured me that chosing the right strength is no big deal because they will just do a quick adjustment to the lasik if the smear/blur doesn't go away in time. I just went back for the adjustment (within my 2 years of included service with no extra fee) and I was informed that an adjustment is a huge risk, much greater than the first lasik treatment, and it is not usually recommended. I felt rushed during my initial consultation and was overly reassured that the adjustment was no big deal. When I brought it up in my appointment yesterday they said that they absolutely can do an adjustment, so I was not lied to...it is just a huge risk. When I asked for the doctor what the risks are she told me the same as last time but a greater chance of problems. I told her I do not remember all of the issues presented last time and asked if she would go over them with me and she literally told the girl at the desk to write it down for me so I could go home and Google it. Dr. Wright was my original surgeon and I liked him. He did not rush me, it was the female doctor. This time, Dr. Burr, the female, is the one who rushed me, told me it is my choice but to go home and Google it, and bullied me into leaving with no information. She also told me I should not decide to do this just because it is covered because making a decision based on time and money is not a good choice. I told her that all of our decisions are made based on time and money and she basically gave me a dirty look. She told me I would be better off to wait and then pay the full price again so I can make a more informed decision even though she refused to inform me. I would never recommend another person go here although the surgery went well, I am now stuck with vision I did not choose and was rushed into. Dr. Wright was fine, but the institute seems bad. Get a second option and be sure you are certain when choosing a strength. While it seems like common sense, we all trust and listen to the doctors. Upon my research, I learned that it is not recommended to get an adjustment unless you have had 5-10 years to heal. In addition to this, I want to mention that my healing was very slow (through no fault of the doctor) and my follow up appointments were changed at the last minute twice. I was unable to make the last one when they changed it. It was an 8am appointment they changed to 10:30 am as I pulled into the parking lot. I understand things change, but when I could not reschedule for the same month due to work, I came later and they made me pay for the appointment out of pocket.

Update June 2023:Went back for my yearly, and same issues as before. I was there for 2hours more than 1.5hours of which was waiting to be seen. Theres no communication and its ridiculously slow. Last time I was pretty sure they gave me the wrong Rx for contacts. That was confirmed today when even Dr. Chin was confused by the Rx that was on my file from last year. So Ive been wearing incorrect lenses for a year even though they insisted previously that it was right (no wonder I couldnt see as well as I thought I should). That should never happen.2022:I typically have a great experience at Mann Eye. This time it seemed like they booked way too many people in a given time slot for a limited number of technicians and Drs. So, even though I had an early slot in the day they were already behind schedule and were late taking me back. On top of this, after the initial exam I had to wait 45minutes before the Dr finally came in. Only for her to spend 5 mins in the room and rushing to get done. Rushing to the point that I believe she might have gotten my contacts Rx wrong. Most people have jobs and responsibilities so an appointment that shouldnt even take an hour taking nearly 2 hours is ridiculous.

Horrible experience trying to get accurate information to get set-up. I ended up having to cancel at the last minute because it took three days to gain any understanding of what precautions I needed to take as far as taking out contacts in time. I left two separate voicemails asking for an actual conversation to discuss what was going on and got no help. When I finally got a hold of Heather, I was told I shouldve received a text message reminder of the info I was needing. I received a lot of texts, but not the one with the info I needed. And it was like she didnt believe me. I was met with well, it shows it was sent. Really?! Why else would I be blowing you up for days trying to figure out what to do? Heather was not only unhelpful, but accusatory that my lack of understanding was completely my own fault. Did you not look in your patient portal? I know I wrote down 3-5 days on your sheet. Well our system shows the text message went out Wow. Absolutely terrible customer service. 1) Yall need to streamline and simplify how you get communication to clients. 2) The accusations and defensiveness was maddening. I wouldve tried to reschedule, but meeting a client with that kinda its just your fault energy is a really poor business move. And no HeatherI wont write you a personal positive review so you can gain more hours of PTO. Ill be taking my 5k elsewhere.

I gave this business 3 tries over a few years to give me a set of good glasses . The glasses either broke and /or the lenses are horrible . Within 6 months every time I can not see out of my glasses . Whatever coating is on the glasses starts to come off in spots to the point everything is cloudy and you just can't see out of the glasses . They Jack the prices of the glasses so far up even with my insurance I paid 100's of dollars . Unfortunately with the insurance I had this was pretty mush the business in my location that was listed under the insurance . I've tried everything to clean the lenses so I can see out of them . Between the cloudy spots and thus dull film over the lens I just can't anymore. Staff has always been pleasant but the quality of their glasses is a negative. I recommend finding another place to get your glasses
