    My wife previously had JAG laser surgery at the Mann Eye Clinic. The preop for the surgery today was in Humble. All doctors visits were at the Humble location. She scheduled her second cataract surgery for today but when we showed up for surgery at 6:45 am today in Humble she was informed that the surgery was downtown, 45 minutes drive. She was contacted the previous day and no mention was made of going to the downtown location. When we arrived downtown location the receptionist had an attitude and insinuated that we were at fault for showing up to the wrong location. When we asked what time the surgery was scheduled for she brushed us off by saying she would check us in and we would be sent back. No answer. They had no problem taking our payment of $3295. if you plan to use the Mann Eye clinic I suggest you ask about the location; it mattered. We drove 30 minutes to the appointment in Humble and the fought traffic for another 45 minutes and then given the run around.

    I had laser cataract surgery in August of 2015 at the main campus of Mann Eye Clinic. After several surgery follow up visits, they put a schedule of yearly exams. At each yearly exam, they performed multiple tests and my pupils were dilated allowing the optometrist to truly examine my eyes. Except for one of the tests, it was billed as a yearly exam fully covered by insurance. After having missed a couple of years due to Covid, I decided I needed to get a yearly routine exam. Instead of driving to the downtown location, I chose the Pearland location which I will never do again. Rather than perform multiple tests like the main branch, they performed one. My pupils were not dilated and the exam was about as routine as one could be. However, rather than bill it as the fully covered routine yearly eye exam that it was, they billed it as diagnostic and treatment and charged me over $200. I have disputed the claim with my insurance as I believe this was erroneous. They did half as much as I receive at the main branch and charged way more for it. My visit included about as routine of an eye exam as one could get and should have been covered as a normal yearly eye exam. While the doctor was pleasant, the billing was inaccurate.
