Mann Eye Institute exceeded ALL expectations I had. The entire process for my Lasik from start to finish went so smooth and I never once felt concerned about anything! My tech's Amy and Anyssa were the best! Amy was so knowledgeable and informative and made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Beavers and Natalie were quick and thorough. Sarah was a big help in choosing the right sunglasses and I love the one's I picked! I am so glad I chose to come to Mann Eye. Best vision decision EVER! Thank you all so much for the care and assistance you provided! 20/20

Kira was absolutely the best part of my visit and currently the only reason for possibly returning for future visits. Of course, this too will depend on how well they resolve the billing issue at check out that's pending final resolution. Let me explain entire experience...(long post). My husband and I went to our first Mann Eye appt today for a routine annual exam. Visit with Dr. Han was extremely fast. If you like an in/out quick exam, this is perfect for you. Don't expect warm and fuzzies or being thoroughly explained or you will be disappointed. She wasn't rude or anything like that. Unfortunately, I like personable healthcare providers and being thoroughly and maybe even overly informed. Helps decrease my medical anxiety.Checkout:Both our exams were literally the same thing, yet, hubby paid $49 ($10 copay visit + $39 for their refraction) with our VSP plan, but they charged me $115 through my medical ($70 specialist copay + $45 for the refraction)! When asked why the difference, I could tell the answer was made up to "pacify" my concern. I was told that mine was charged as a "medical" appointment bc I'm diabetic and they had to "make a note of that in my chart". I asked them to confirm that my understanding was correct, which was that I was being charged for saying I was a diabetic even though exam wasn't different (confirmed on printouts I requested later for hubby's visit and mine) and bc they had to "add a note" to my chart. They were unsure. It felt extremely shady and made me utterly uncomfortable and taken advantage of at this point. Erica then proceed to remind me that the card reader was ready for my $115 payment. It was closing time so I told her that I was aware and understood they were in a hurry, but I had to make sure charge was correct. She said she wasn't in a hurry and I think that's when she realized how she was coming across bc her tone warmed up a bit. This is when I went ahead and paid, and asked them for a printout of our visits so I could compare, call my insurance, and deal directly with them instead. Stephanie helped Erica with this portion. THIS was the point when Stephanie finally realized charge codes were the same but actual charges weren't, (not when I told them) so Stephanie called someone on her phone, explained the situation, and then told me that I was going to be credited $76 that I WAS overcharged. They couldn't give me a receipt for the credit at that moment and had to wait a few days to see the credit. When Kira saw I was still there, she came to ask if she could help with anything. Again, absolutely loved her attention and kindness. Very personable and knowledgeable too! Give her a raise! One of the reasons I came here was bc of the reviews saying how nice everyone was, including reception. Maybe I came on a bad day bc it felt cold walking in (even when I tried with pleasantries) and like I wasn't being listened to at the end. To be fair, at the end, once Stephanie fixed the issue, she did get it resolved and was apologetic. At this point, unfortunately, I was already over it.I ordered my glasses and will pick them up in 2 weeks. Hopefully there won't be any issues then and hopefully my credit has been posted and cleared. Stay tuned for final update in a few weeks, once resolved.
