Just like the commercials say.....15 minutes and I had 15/20 vision. Minimal discomfort. Only eyedrops needed. Nice people.

I don't usually write reviews for eye doctors, but Dr. Luke Barker and the Mann Eye staff deserve high praise. My high deductible health insurance plan was about to reset for the year when I realized I was a strong candidate for cataract surgery in each eye and premium implanted intraocular lenses (IOL) to correct my vision permanently. I called Mann Eye on December 26, and the team worked with me to complete my screenings and two separate cataract surgeries before January 1! The surgeries were painless, Dr. Barker was attentive and clearly an expert in this field, and it really was like magic! My vision is better than I could imagine. The great service could have ended there after the high tech procedures, but no, Dr. Barker has performed post-op follow ups with me to fine tune my vision. He has patiently tracked my progress and genuinely cares about the outcome. The staff performs testing with state of the art equipment, and whenever possible, Mann Eye has never nickel-and-dimed me. I've had eye issues since I was four years old. I figured I would always have to squint or look down at the ground instead of straight ahead, but my new lenses have changed all of that. I'm more confident professionally and personally, I feel safer, and I could actually be an eye witness now! p.s. If you're still not convinced, Dr. Barker has a great demeanor, and with his Tennessee accent, even words like "iritis" sound pleasant. Give Mann Eye a shot.

This was my first visit and I was very pleased!!The staff was super friendly and very helpful! One of the staff members, Sandy Perry was so sweet, caring and went above and beyond to assist me. The doctor was very skilled, very nice & informative. Just an all around Great place!

Optician Ashley Williams is delightful, professional and has a great eye for design. She helped me select glasses and sunglasses, that for the first time ever in my many years of wearing glasses, I was thoroughly excited to start wearing right away. Ashley noticed several details in my order that not only saved me money, but also made the glasses fit better. Thank you, Ashley, for going the extra mile!

Mann Eye Institute is clearly in the "Best of the Best" category. Highly educated doctors, technicians, and administrative personnel who are focused on making sure you get the best diagnosis and treatment available. The Institute is very aggressive with their capital investments to purchase the best medical tools, equipment, and staff education available. When comparing the institute to other practitioners, I encourage you to ask questions regarding both procedure and equipment. In my case, after a lot of diligent research, l found all Lasik surgeries are not the same! I selected Mann Eye Institute for my surgery because they had the most accurate diagnosis and laser surgical equipment available. Three years later my eyes are still doing great and my follow on care has been impeccable. My primary eye Physician, Dr. Brunson, is a consummate professional. He is always very pleasant, thorough, never rushed, and explains my exam results in language I can easily understand. I've also found that Dr. Brunson and I assume the entire Institute has established a professional network with the best medical practitioners in the Houston area. When your care is outside the scope of their services you can be assured you will be referred to a "top-notch" practice.
