If I could give them less than one star I would. I made an appointment with this doctor because my regular doctor is booked well into 2016. The nightmare began with a non-working elevator. (A TDLR non-compliance issue.) Then I arrived at the front desk where the receptionist was practically screaming. She really needs to lay off the caffeine or the bath salts. I couldn't tell which one. Not only was she over the top loud, she didn't have my insurance information correct and tried to charge me $120 more. It wasn't until I told her that I would walk out that she cut her scam and agreed to the normal materials fee authorized by my insurance. Then the technician couldn't get my persciption straight when fitting my contacts and finally, I had to instruct the physician on how to write my perscription. If I have to tell you how to do your job, one of us in the equation is no longer necessary. Do the math. After I secured my perscriptions in hand, I walked down the stairs, went straight to my car, called my doctor, and made an appointment for December 2016. I didn't want to take any chances on this happening again. Avoid Mann Eye Institute and Laser Center in Austin, Texas at all costs.

Everyone at the Woodlands Clinic was awesome. I felt welcome and in good hands from the minute I arrived. The whole staff was friendly and informative. They walked me through every aspect of the procedure and the aftercare process. Dr. Melton did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone thinking about getting LASIK done.

What an exceptional organization. From the minute I walked in, the customer care was phenomenal. The front desk folks were incredible. The assistant's were diligent and helpful, and my doctor, and I apologize because I forgot her name, was the best. I understand that doctors need to see "x" amount of patients every day, but never once did I feel rushed by her. She took the time to review everything. Explained everything, so there was no "gray" area. If you don't give MEI a chance, you will be selling yourself short, I promise. My wait was a little long, but I would have waited another 30 minutes just because they were that good. I am not complaining about the wait. I have sat for much longer in other doctor's offices. Thank you to all for the excellent care. It is much appreciated.

This place operates like a machine! The staff is wonderful. The doctors are all excellent and take care of you. I went from a -6.0 prescription where I couldn't even tell that the big "E" on the vision chart existed, to 20/15 vision 12 hours after the surgery. The next day post op felt great. Dry eyes are expected. Also, don't rub your eyes! I highly recommend Mann Eye Institute... especially for people who've had glasses since childhood and are nervous about the procedure. Also, the technology there is top-of-the-line.
