I had my LASIK surgery last Thursday. From my first evaluation through my one week appointment post surgery (today) everyone at Mann has been amazing. I felt so welcomed and everyone seemed so excited to help me. Dr. McIntyre did my surgery. She answered all of my questions and contacted me after my surgery to check in with me. She was so reassuring throughout the whole process. I had my next day post op appointment at the north location and they were equally nice , helpful & answered all of my questions

I am amazed at how well I can see. I have 20/20 vision. I used to have 20/80!

If you are thinking about LASIK, I highly recommend Mann Eye Institute.

I came in early to fill out new patient ppwk and the staff was friendly. The wait wasn't that bad either. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. The technicians were very subject matter knowledgable, however there was a disconnect in communication. They lost me in their building, which was more comical than anything but it extended my wait for 15 minutes. Dr Morello knew his stuff and was comforting. When getting fitted for contacts my right eye still doesn't like that contact they gave me after two days, so I will have to go back and try something different. The trick here will be how much they charge me since I wasn't fit properly the first time.

I have good insurance and plan so it wasn't a whole lot. The pricing will depend on your insurance. My CoPay was $70 for the whole shibang - exam and contact fitting. Check your insurance. I looked at the men's glasses selection and it was ok. Looked like maybe 100-150 different styles before you get to sunglasses.

Hope this helps! I would still go back and probably will continue to go to this joint.

    My vision kicks ass now.

Seriously, I've never had as good of vision as I do now. I'm 19 and have worn contacts and glasses for as long as I can remember. My prescription (contacts) was -6.5 when I decided to get LASIK here. I now have vision that is nearing 20/15.

People are awesome, procedure is easy (not completely painless but pretty darn close), and the eyesight is amazing.

If you are considering LASIK, I highly recommend Mann Eye Institute! I had my LASIK procedure done recently. All I can say is Wow! I can see! At my intiial consultation, every question was answered; the amazing and friendly staff made me feel comfortable. Hint: the staff is awesome! From the moment that I walked into the door until I left, everyone that I came in contact with was extremely kind and very helpful. Needless to say, I was well informed prior to the procedure. On the day of the surgery, I was excited and ready to throw away my contacts and glasses; however, just as I was about to go into the LASIK suite, I began to get a little nervous. Once they brought me in, Dr. Wright and the staff gave me a blanket because I was cold and teddy bear to hold. Then, in the background, they played realxing music to help calm the atmosphere making me feel as relaxed as possible - it is the eyes you know! Throughout the entire procedure, Dr. Wright was talking with me and informing me of exactly what he was doing; this made me feel safe and confident that I was being well taken care of. As I was laying there it didn't seem like 5 minutes and the procedure was over. A few words to explain my experience in the LASIK suite include efficient, smooth, and accurate. Everyone always tells me that they do not want LASIK due to the fear of pain or discomfort. I always get the notorious question "did it hurt?". The answer is "NO! There is absolutely no pain". I was sick and tired of having dry itchy eyes from wearing contacts. I felt that I didn't have a face for glasses; however, now, this is the least of my concerns. I am glasses and contacts free! Having this procedcure has completely changed my life. I am enjoying every morning tht I can wake up without having to put in contacts or reach for my glasses. I am looking at the world through a brand new set of eyes!

Horrible experience. I made an appointment for a simple contact prescription- I didn't even need to change my prescription, I just needed a valid prescription to order more contacts. I arrived early, filled out my new patient paperwork and waited an hour. A tech finally called me back and did the standard tests but then informed me that the doctor would have to redo all the tests just to make sure. Then I waited ANOTHER hour. I should have walked out. What is the point of having an appointment if you have to wait two hours? When I finally saw the doctor, I was fuming and she lightheartedly apologized for being late. It was very disrespectful. I don't care who you are or if you are a doctor with a tight schedule, my time is just as valuable as yours. Also, she changed the type of contact brand I had been using for the last 6 years without my knowledge (probably because they are more expensive) and I went home having lost 3 hours of my time and having to deal with contacts that I hated. Terrible experience. If you want a simple exam, DO NOT go here.
