I was referred here by a friend. Great place the staff and the doctor were great! The wait was not long at all. I referred other' s here and the love it too.

I had my LASIK surgery done by Dr. Green over 10 years ago. All it took was a phone call and consultation with Steven and Dr. Jhaver, and I crossed the other doctors I researched off of my list. The entire procedure from start to end was seamless, and I never had issues that my colleagues and friends experienced elsewhere. No halos, no dry eyes, and no pain. My case was a special case with my left eye, but Dr. Green performed a miracle on me. I'm very grateful, and after my family and friends saw the results and wonderful experience that I had -- they too have become loyal patients here. Today, my husband, brother, sister, and I still do not need glasses or contacts. Steven will make you feel like you've known him since childhood, we love him. Dr. Jhaver is so graceful and patient. Jackie is also very polite and attentive with fitting and selecting frames. I can't say enough about Dr. Green, Dr. Jhaver, and Steven as well as the very courteous staff at Eye Excellence. These are the experts that truly care about their patients.

I just completed my LASIK procedure at Mann Eye in Katy. The staff was knowledgeable and responsive, and made me feel confident from the initial consultation. I fully researched my options at Joffe Medicenter and Berkeley Eye Center, but still decided to have the operation at Mann Eye after comparing. The only downside is the pricing, which for me was about $500 more expensive than the competition. However, I am beyond pleased with the service and results. Ashley, the LASIK patient consultant, is a superstar at her job! She answered all my questions and kept constant communication. Dr. Wright is friendly and precise, and did an outstanding job on my eyes. I see more clearly than any time in recent memory (even with glasses or contacts)! The morning after the operation, I remember having cereal on my living room sofa, and being able to read the tiny clock on the microwave in the kitchen way across the room. Everything from the pre-op examinations to the post-op follow ups are conducted in the highest level of professionalism. Don't hesitate, get your LASIK done here to restore your vision to 20/20 (or better)!

This review is for standard annual eye exam + contact lens fitting, and I'm comparing Eye Excellence to other locations I've been to. Parking: no free parking, must pay ~$4-$6 Ambiance: nice building, elegant and nice waiting area, etc. Wait: longer than standard Quality of care: standard, since standard eye exams don't vary that much from place to place. Billing and staff service: Major problems--this is the reason I refuse to be a patient here any longer. I will admit up front that I made a simple error when I gave them my insurance information. When the insurance claim was denied, instead of investigating or asking me for corrected information, the office just kept submitting the same info over and over again. I never knew there was a problem until they started sending the entire bill to me. When I got the bill in the mail, I tried calling, emailing, and leaving messages for the office manager, who did not return any of my inquiries until I physically went to the office to see her. (I had to take time off work and pay for parking, which cost more than usual since it took a long time to wait for the manager.) It turns out that the insurance error could have been very easily corrected, but the office made no effort to investigate, contact me, or even return my repeated inquiries. By the time I finally got hold of the office manager, the time limit for insurance claims had passed, and the office made me pay. Granted, she gave me a discount on the price, but the amount I paid was still more than the full (non-insured) price for the same services at other locations. The fact that the mistake could have been corrected so easily, but was not, makes me very uncomfortable about how much attention the office staff give to their jobs. I am not at all satisfied with how this office handled my situation, so I am now happily seeing another doctor.

The staff at the Mann Eye Institute on Braker are absolutely amazing!! Maryann is the best tech ever; she makes everything so smooth and easy. David and Steph at the front desk take care of everything with such ease. The exams are quick and to the point; Dr. Beavers makes the exams light hearted and relaxing. This is by far the best eye center I have ever been to! Every staff member at this location makes you feel right at home. I had Lasik surgery at the south location and I must say it was a piece of cake. They make you very comfortable and relaxed in the surgery room and talk you through the whole surgery. I personally didn't feel anything and less than ten minutes and it is over. The results are wonderful! The next day you are already seeing so much better. I don't know why anyone would wait to have Lasik Eye surgery!
