Dr. Chin is highly competent, caring, and extraordinarily thorough. She takes time explaining her exam and her recommendations and listening to all questions and concerns. She continues that with follow-up recommendations and help making appointments with other specialists. Five stars is insufficient.

I cannot find enough words to express how amazing this place is. Mann Eye Institute has some of the most compassionate and helpful staff of Doctors and Nurses I have encountered in a long time. Even when I had to jump around to a few of their doctors, they were all clear and knowledgeable about what was going on with me.I came to the initially because I ended up with an ulcer in my eye. They attacked it furiously and got me back to normal. But what really cemented my love for this team is that they are the only ones that told me that I could get Lasik done. I have always had trouble with my vision. Legally blind from one eye, myopia, nystagmus, near sighted.... with this, I have always struggled with getting my driver's license, I'd miss out on a lot because I could not see, I'd have to have people read menus to me.... I lived and depended on my glasses/contacts. But now, I am finally free... Despite the nystagmus (my eyes shake), they were able to give me a mild sedative to calm my nerves and follow my eyes and get them corrected. I may not see 20/20, but I am seeing better than I ever have in my entire life... even better than any prescription anyone has ever given me. For the first time I was able to get my license without multiple visits and crying. I am able to take walks in the park and see the squirrels and birds and turtles. I can read subtitles on my own. I don't even make as many typos when I type.They are patient. They explain everything they are doing and why things are happening thoroughly. They made things happen for me that no one ever thought would be possible. I only wish I would have lived in Houston earlier and gotten to be treated by them when I was a kid.

I went to Mann Eye because they are well known here in Austin but I was very disappointed. They are in an network provider for VSP but they weren't sure how to charge my insurance. As a result I was overcharged and have spent 3 months trying to correct it. If you call the local Austin number you are transferred to the billing department in Houston and I finally had to do a conference call with VSP and Mann Eye for them to realize their mistake. Of course I am still waiting for the refund which they say could take several more months. There are many great Austin companies out there but sadly this isn't one.

Dr. Noroozian was very meticulous in her examination. She explained in detail all aspects of my exam & asked along the way if I had questions and gave me time for questions at the end, also. The entire staff was warm, friendly & knowledgeable. It was a great experience & I highly recommend this office!!!

Dr. Kakade and her entire staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about every aspect of my appointment. Dr. Kakades appointment procedure is thorough, so nothing is missed. She makes sure all your concerns are met and that your prescription is accurate before you leave. She explains everything you need to know. Their prices are good after insurance. Gave me all the time in the world and all the space to pick out glasses. I tried on a lot and they never complained. They are upfront about costs and what they are for.
