Lasik Eye Surgery from Mann Eye Institute was the best investment I have ever made. I was really nervous for the surgery. The doctors and nurses were extremely kind and understanding. They made me feel at ease before, during, and after the surgery. They answered every question I could come up with. Everyone was very friendly, especially the woman at the front desk. My eye sight is perfect. The surgery was easy and quick. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. My eyes are perfect, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Best thing I ever did! Thank you Mann Eye! I was always so self conscious with glasses and dealt with so many issues with contacts, like seasonal eye allergies (since Middle School!) - My life became 100 times easier and stress free after Lasik. Every day I wake up amazed that I can see crystal clear now without anything :) I used to have both astigmatism and myopia where I couldn't see someone's face standing next to me. I actually see better now than I ever did with contacts or glasses. After the procedure I had no issues that you sometimes hear about...no dry eyes, nothing like that. I will forever be grateful. :)

I would highly recommend Mann Eye Institute at Braker Lane for anyone seeking care for any type of eye problems or to get your annual eye appointment. In 2010 I had laser eye surgery and for YEARS afterwards I suffered from severe dry eyes. Despite seeing multiple ophthalmologists no one really listened to me long enough to really do more than suggest drops or an eye mask. When I went to see Dr. Beavers I was using multiple eye drops, multiple times an hour, fish oil twice a day (helps dry eyes), night time eye lubricant, and an eye mask at night. Despite having LASIK eye surgery I was not seeing anywhere close to 20/20 because of the blurry vision from dry eyes and my eyes were constantly red from irritation. Earlier this year (March 2013) I went to see Dr. Beavers at Mann eye. He listened to me as I explained my long story and instead of just saying well there is nothing else I can do for you.. he thought for a minute and suggested punctal plugs to help alleviate my dry eyes. One other ophthalmologist had suggested these but did not describe them to me and I thought it would involve another surgical procedure and be very costly. Dr. Beavers explained the procedure is done in the office and is not a surgical procedure and I felt confident he really thought these would help me. He was very knowledgeable and suggested I try the temporary punctal plugs before committing to the permanent ones. Immediately after getting the temporary plugs I felt so much relief! My vision had improved and I did not have to use any additional drops all day. Two weeks later I got the permanent punctal plugs (insurance covered almost all of the cost) and now 6 months later I do not need to use any eye drops, fish oil, or night time lubricant. I want to thank Dr. Beavers and his staff so much for the wonderful care they provided. Every time I walked into the office everyone was so friendly and would remember me and ask about my family. Such a simple thing as listening to me made such a difference in my life that I just can't Dr. Beavers enough. I will be returning and have referred everyone I know to him (my husband has already been to see Dr. Beavers as well.) . If you are looking for a caring, compassionate, and fantastic ophthalmologist I would suggest you ask for Dr. Beavers at MANN eye institute. Sincerely, Whitney

I am new to the area and I drove by about ten days ago and went to this Mann Eye location for a routine Eye Exam. I stopped in and the girl at the front desk was very friendly and verified my insurance on the spot. I lucked out because they had an opening that same day. A young lady with blond hair took me back for the preliminary tests, she explained everything to me as we went through the testing machines. I got to see Dr. Baumohl, he was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable as I asked questions about my eyes and exam results. I got done with my exam and found out that I needed Progressive Bifocal lenses, I did not know much about them. The young lady named Amber who helped me pick out some stylish frames also showed me to a machine with a touch screen display that had awesome demonstrations of the different type of lenses, a non glare called Crizal and the thicknesses of different lens materials. This was important to me because I have a heavy prescription. What was so nice about my dealings with Amber and Mann Eye, I never felt pressured to buy. I did buy the best lens they had to offer, because I only have one set of eyes and I have a job that requires a lot of detailed work. I came back today to pick up my glasses and I cannot believe how crystal clear and sharp everything looks to me. I cannot remember the last time I could see like this. I was very impressed with the process from the time I walked in to the Spring office of Mann Eye to the time I picked up my glasses. The gentlemen that helped me with learning how to use them was also very patient and informative, he even gave me cleaning and care tips. I highly recommend Dr. Baumohl and the entire staff. I came on my lunch break to pick up my glasses, so I had to wait a few minutes because everyone was helping someone, another that that I will be back and will not be going anywhere else for exams and glasses.

I read the other reviews and was a little unsure of my visit. The was my first time to Mann Eye in Spring. Boy was I wrong. Dr Baumohl and his staff were awesome! The eye exam was very thorough and they made me feel like I was family. Dette at the front desk was so sweet. Maybe the other reviewers were so used to Dr Beavers that nothing else would do. For anyone thinking of coming here I would suggest you try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!
