I wanted to wait until at least 6 months post-surgery to write a review to give the most thorough info, but I am 4 months now and could not be happier. Mann Eye Institute truly changed my life. I had worn either contacts or glasses since I was 7 years old (26 years) and had a rather high prescription (-7.5= nearly blind). I put off Lasik for years thinking that it was too expensive, too painful and couldn't stand the thought of a laser being in my eyes. I wish I had done this years ago. The entire Mann Eye staff is fantastic. Ashley did a wonderful job explaining the process, financing, and answering any questions I had. An extremely thorough evaluation was done initially, with 2 more follow up visits for diagnostic testing to make sure they did the most precise job. I'll spare every detail but the day of surgery went so smooth. They gave me valium (which definitely helped) about 30 minutes before. Dr. Mike Mann did my surgery. The first machine makes the cut to create the flap. This wasn't painful, just strange and uncomfortable only on my right eye (some bruising appeared on the sclera after which is normal) because it feels like its going to suck your eyeball out of socket. The actual vision correction portion was a breeze. I felt absolutely nothing and just had to stare at a light for about 15 seconds. The actual Lasik procedure took less than 5 minutes. Immediately after surgery you go home and sleep for as long as you can (with eye protection on). That evening my eyes felt dry but not painful. At my follow up the next day I had 20/20 vision for the first time in my life. Every f/u after my vision was 20/15. I did experience some dry eye for the first month or so, but the medication and eye drops they recommended helped greatly. I am now 4 months post-op and have zero issues. Can't believe I didn't do this sooner. It has made life so much easier-travel, swimming, getting up in the middle of the night to name a few. I would also like to add that Dr. Brunson is so wonderful. He was the doctor for all of my follow up visits. He is so sweet and truly cares about his patients and takes that time to address any issues you might have. My dad has horrible dry eye and I happened to mention this to him at one of my f/u. He went above and beyond to help with information, drug options and even scheduling a visit with their specialist. I can't say enough about him. Its worth noting I had been to about 3 other places for consultations, and while they offered (slightly) cheaper options, I felt more comfortable with Mann Eye and do not regret paying a little more for something so important.

Good doctors. Good staff. Tend to overbook their day, so waits are sometimes up to an hour after scheduled appointment. But still recommend.

I'm more than pleased by the quick and very professional help from Dr. Jennifer Melton. <br>I felt very welcome and comfortable there and will definitely come back for my yearly exams.
