I can't thank the staff at Mann Eye Institute in Katy enough for their care through my LASIK procedure. I visited several different doctors before deciding to go with Mann. From my first conversation with Ashley Hassen on the phone I knew I made the right choice. Ashley was very informative and laid out all the options for me. I actually waited another 3 months after that initial visit to have the procedure. Ashley would check in with me during that time too. Procedure day couldn't have been any better. Dr. Wright and Tina Doring were awesome. Talked me through the whole procedure. All I can say is WOW. To go from not being able to see a foot in front of my face to clear vision is amazing. I really don't know why i waited so long to have it done. The followup appointments with Dr. Wright and Tina Doring were excellent. Explaining how my eyes were healing and what I could expect over the next weeks and months. If you are considering LASIK Mann, Dr. Wright, Ashley and Tina are the ones to SEE (pun intended.)

I recently experienced LASIK eye surgery at Mann Eye Institute and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very caring and personal, everyone was very nice and prompt with my appointment. Dr. Beavers was a pleasure and I am very happy to announce that i now have 20/15 vison. Yay for me!!!!

This is a review in two parts. As far as the MEDICAL procedure, Mann Eye Institute was great. My LASIK procedure went off without a hitch, I now have 20/15 vision, & I feel like I was given good support, lots of information, & that Dr. Mike Mann was the exact right Jedi surgeon to lightsaber my eyeballs. No regrets on any of that. But as far as the BUREAUCRATIC procedures, I have been really disappointed. My surgery manager, Dina Owens, was difficult to get ahold of when I had questions about financing. And the "24-month interest-free" financing that Mann Eye offers? Is actually a product of GE CareCredit and they are AWFUL. You can pay them online - but only using a checking account (a what?). Were you planning to pay for your LASIK with your HSA account? Well then, for each & every monthly payment you will have to call a customer service representative and pay $10.00 for the privilege. Over 24 months, that will be $240 in service fees for your interest-free loan. I realize this is not Mann Eye doing this, but they are the ones offering this CareCredit service. Buyer beware. One other minor quibble - who the heck hands out tiny bottles of medication labeled "Magic Drops"? What if I had some sort of allergic reaction to them? Do I hand the bottle to the EMT & tell them "I was blinded by magic"?
