This is one of the most poorly run medical offices--or really any office--that I have ever been to. NEVER on time. Not even close. You are guaranteed to wait HOURS. Not just one hour, but several hours every time--and the parking is expensive. The staff KNOWS that you will not be seen at the time of the appointment when they set the appointment. I think they find it entertainiing. ("How stupid can these people be to keep coming back?") Furthermore they are rude, especially Stuart Seiff. See my review on Stuart Seiff. He should not be allowed to be a doctor, much less a surgeon.

I scheduled my appointment a month in advance, since I work two jobs and try to plan all my health care related visits on the same day. I was supposed to have an appointment tomorrow with Dr King to have my eyes examined. Needless to say i have never been to this center before - nor will I. The receptionist called this afternoon at 4:50 p.m. to tell me that Dr. King cancelled all the appointments tomorrow including mine. They just called, so needless to say the day i took off work is empty now, and now it is ten till 5 - and not many eye offices are open this late in the day. All I can say is I'm pissed - they have no regard for my time - i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The quality of care that I have received from the doctors at Pacific Eye Associates has been top notch. Dr. Seiff has successfully operated on me for a tear duct issue, Dr. Heiden has alleviated some serious eye pain, and Dr. King keeps my vision prescriptions up to date. The doctors, techs, and nurses are all great. The administrative staff is not so great. I have never met such an unprofessional group of receptionists and admins. I have seen the admins throw things at each other, call each other names, scream about someone eating someone else's cookie, and blatantly ignore little old ladies. When you call to make an appointment, "Hold a second. Will be right with you hon." really means "You are going to be on hold for 25 minutes." Please also note that if you have an appointment at 1pm, you will not be seen by a doctor until 2:15pm at the very earliest. This is for a normal appointment. If they "squeeze you in" during the day, expect to wait at least 2 1/2 hours. Cancel your meetings, and bring a book. Their magazine selection isn't very good. If you can get past all of the negative, know that the doctors are professional, knowledgeable, and will fix your problem. Eye pain and eye issues are really scary. I'd rather deal with all of their office craziness in order to know that I'll (eventually) be in good hands.
