It was the first and will be the last visit. My mom had a appointment at 11:20 am and arrived 15 mins earlier to fill up the application. We waited for an hour and half to her 10 mins visit. The reason for the long wait was because some other patients were late for 45 mins but get to see the doctor right the way. Horrible services! I will never recommend the Pacific Eye Associates.

I waited for more than 3 weeks to set an appointment day and had to ask for half a day off and took 30 minutes to get a parking space to make the appointment. I was rudely told my appointment was cancelled by the Pacific Eye Associates' receptionist. I requested to talk to a supervisor, and Mary Grace Ramelb came to see me and told me they called me to cancel the appointment by their automated system. I told her I did not receive your clinic call, she said I answered the phone by their automated system. I said if the automated system said I answered the phone, to give me a record of the phone call. I also told her that I can check my phone company to find out , then she refused to tell me what time the phone ended. I told her she was lying to me and she had nothing to say. I was frustrated by their cancellation, but now I think I am fortunate not let the Pacific Eye Associates to do my eye surgery if their skills are anything like their service.

My grandmother has a lot of eye problems involving maccular degeneration from old age and I'm really happy that she's in the care of Dr. Ali Zaidi and assistant Karmen (I think I spelled her name right).<br><br>I've came to support my Grandma twice so far (one involving an injection with a needle in her eye so she was really nervous) and both times I've been super impressed by the level of service.<br><br>My Grandma's level of English is pretty much limited to the alphabet and "Sorry, my English is poor" for door-knockers and Karmen helps translate important information to her. One thing great about Dr. Ali Zaidi is that even though he can't directly communicate with my Grandma, he still speaks to her and makes eye contact with her instead of speaking to Karmen or me to translate.<br><br>That's a really minor detail, but one that is really important to me because a lot of times, my Grandma can feel really left out because she doesn't speak English; a lot of her past doctors never said a word to her directly. But because Dr. Ali Zaidi actually looked her in the eye and spoke TO HER, she seemed to be put at ease rather than feeling like she was kept in the dark.<br><br>1 star off because I feel like the other members of staff (not Karmen or Dr. Zaidi) are way too casual and unprofessional. Sometimes during the check up, a random assistant would come in and start chatting about the plans for the weekend, as if my grandma wasn't sitting there being examined. Shouldn't the patient's time be the patient's time, period? It also was stressful for her because she kept thinking there was some urgent news about her case and asking me what the problem was. <br><br>"No Mama, they're just talking about steakhouses..."

Let me say my experience with the Doctors at Pacific Eye Associates is GREAT particularly Dr. Ai. BUT the experience of getting contacts here feels like a factory. I feel as if its a struggle to feel like I'm really being heard and staff is rude and dismissive - the complete opposite of how I feel with Dr. Ai and staff when I go in for eye health care and checkups. I've been trying for a few years to be OK with it because its easy to have both services in one place but I'm done and am going to find somewhere else to have my contacts fit.
