If you're seeking treatment for dry eye disease, meibomian gland dysfunction, or related conditions, do NOT got to Dr. Oxford. Bedside manner: I consistently felt like she wanted to hustle me out as quickly as she could and working with her has been a pretty demoralizing experience. I don't feel like she took me or my discomfort or symptoms seriously. Someone else described her as curt and I agree - I'd leave appointments feeling dismissed but didn't know who else to go to. Treatment: I'm also astonished that after 2 years of working with Dr Oxford, she's never suggested a number of treatment options that my new doctor suggested at my first visit (one of which I'm currently using to great success). Patients (particularly DED/MGD sufferers) are looking for hope and sympathy as much as treatment. I felt let down on both fronts. If you're struggling with these conditions, I implore you to do some additional research and find a different ophthalmologist.

Don't expect decent patient care or basic level of service here. Don't buy eyeglasses here. The optical department is the worst -- no service and it feels like they're only interested in taking your money. Also pushy about getting you to buy glasses while you wait for your eyes to be fully dilated. Don't bother calling or emailing them after your visit because you'll never get a response. There are plenty of other places to buy eyeglasses with MUCH better service, starting with Warby Parker which is also much less expensive. Read the other reviews here and believe them (they wouldn't adjust someone's glasses...). It's true what other people say about a long wait for optometry appointments and feeling overly rushed. Also, if you need anything afterward (copy of prescription,...) forget it. They don't return calls. When you call, it takes forever for them to answer the phone. They're really good at taking your money and scheduling appointments (to generate more income) - but that's it. It feels that they prioritize running a business over patient care.

I and my wife come to Pacific Eye Associates (Dr. Jennifer Sung) for regular eye exams. To us the biggest complaint with this clinic is the excessive wait time. We are diligent about arriving on time. Usually there's about 30 minutes waiting before the assistant / technician takes us for the basic tests. The pupils are dilated and then the real wait begins - they say it'll be 20-30 minutes but in reality it is about an hour wait.

Dr. Lin is probably great - he was very personable during the short time spent with him - but his office OMG so bad First I called them a bit in advance to see if they wanted me to get the records from my prior opthamologist and after speaking with 1 rude guy and the system hanging up on me I was told quite brusquely NO Back to the visit - I was given paperwork to check out and sat in 1 of the chairs at the sign that said Please Wait Here for Checkout - this is a VERY busy practice and there are at least 12-15 people waiting in chairs and coming and going at any 1 time, and 4 clerks at the desk - after I sat for about 10 minutes, the one on the corner asked if I was waiting to check out and told me 'you should be standing over there!' - i walked over and read to her what the sign said, but said I would know better on my next visit. They apparently only see patients for 2 short windows in a week, so nothing was available (over 1 year later!) that worked well, but it was take it or leave it - I said then this wasn't working out too well, at which she said 'you're probably better off with another doctor'!

On Thursday, November 16, 2023 I had an appointment with Dr. So. I had glaucoma pressure test, pressure was 18 both eyes. Then I had pictures of the back of my eyes. Then I was put in an exam room to wait for Dr. So. Instead another person comes in and does more test. I have no idea who she was. Next Dr. So comes in and tells me my pressures are not low enough, should be at 15, and I should have surgery. Told him I didn't want surgery, he tried to put numbing drops in my eye to show me what the surgery would be like. I refused and he ordered more drops, he was angry and stormed out of the room. Never examined my eyes.
