I just returned to this office after eight years due to having no other choice at this time due to the medical insurance I have. The only reason for my visit was to see the ophthalmologist (Dr. Reader) who I've seen in the years past. I find that my doctor is quite good, professional, and easy to talk to. I'd seen a particular optometrist here also in years past, and the reviews of him are accurate meaning that you should find someone better truly.

Now for the overall experience of this office I also agree with most reviewers. Although one has an appointment one may be waiting for an eternity. It happened to me just last week. In fact, after noticing other patients being called for their appointments I got worried and went to the front desk to enquire should they have forgotten about me. But they didn't. The place is under renovation now too. Many years ago it used to be a lovely, quiet office, very organized. A few years hence and up to now it feels like a public clinic. Almost every chair occupied in the waiting areas, and as another reviewer mentioned, one's name is barked out loud as the place is big. One time I arrived promptly for my appointment, had my eyes dilated, waited for what seemed to be an eternity then saw the ophthalmologist. I arrived at 3:30 pm, left the office at 6:30 pm. Fortunately last week's appointment I was there for almost two hours. But then again I didn't need to take a visual field test or I probably would have been there til 6 pm. I did notice upon checking in there were other patients who seemed to have been waiting a while already.

So I feel this is a good office provided you have a good doctor and can withstand a possible long wait.

Dr. So did cateract surgery on me and left a piece of the cateract in. I was sent home and developed great pain and bleeding, and Dr. So reoperated the next day. He damaged my cornea, which resulted in two additional surgeries by other eye surgeons to correct the problem. After 2 years, I have not recovered my loss of depth perception and peripheral vision in that eye. I would not recommend Dr. So.

I had an appointment here with an eye doctor last week. It was a waste of my time because while I checked in early for my appointment, the doctor was "at least 30 minutes behind schedule." Then, I met another patient in the waiting area who had already been waiting 30 minutes for her appointment, and was still waiting. Clarified with the receptionist that there were actually four people ahead of me, so I cancelled and left. I hope this overbooking practice gets managed, or this business will be losing customers. This business just lost return customers of me and my spouse. (He also had a very long wait time a year ago.) Two stars instead of one because the receptionists were honest and doing their best.

Dr. Seiff provided the worst medical experience I've had in my life. And, I've had multiple surgeries, procedures, and consultations for numerous ailments over years.

Arrogance doesn't begin to describe this guy. But, if that were the only issue, then, fine. But, his description of the possible effects of my procedure were so poorly correlated with my own experience that I was literally in disbelief.

More than that, after the procedure, when my eye was SWOLLEN shut, with swollen, impaired, blurry and teary vision and numbing pain that lasted 3 weeks (he said "I'd have my contacts in the next day" - and that's a quote). He 100% changed his tune about what he said in the consultation. He backtracked, and said, "Well, it's like touching skin on a burning stove". What?!? That description was NEVER ONCE mentioned in the consultation beforehand when I asked about possible side effects. I truly wish I had recorded him, but his words are etched in my mind.

BOTTOM LINE: it's been almost 18 months and my eye is still not recovered from the effects and tears up constantly (another side effect that was NEVER mentioned). If even just one person reads this and decides to go elsewhere, than I feel like I've helped someone out and saved them from a possible horrible experience.
