I will be looking for another practice for my my eye care going forward.I have been a patient of this practice for almost a decade. I am 71 yrs old and live on a fixed income.I have had blepharitis for several years. I live on a fixed income and saved up the money for a lipaflow treatment here, $1500.I was told I would get 6 months to a year of relief from the treatment. I barely got 3 months and when I returned expecting retreatment, I was told I would have to pay again. Dr. Oxford said I needed to have either better self discipline to do the home care she recommended or better finances, when I told her I couldn't aford to pay again.Besides, after just now researching, I found that other practices do the same procedure for $700-1000.

Do not ever go here. They are scam artists. I was referred to a Dr. at this practice (I'm sure the Dr herself is fine, I had no issues with her) for a cosmetic procedure. I did not think I would likely have the procedure, but when I called to find out how much it would be to have a consultation, I was told that if I did it online it would be free. When I scheduled my appointment online, there was a page asking for my insurance information. I then called their office again, to clarify why they would need that if my appointment was free. I was told to not worry about it and that was for other kinds of appointments. I had my appointment and it was fine. This morning, more than 6 WEEKS after my appointment, I received both a text message and an email saying I owe them $225!!! I called their office to inform them there must be a mistake and was called back by one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to and told that he can "guarantee" that no one told me my appointment was free. I asked him how he could possibly guarantee that, since I was indeed told that on two separate occasions!? He insisted he could. I then said that obviously I didn't know who I had spoken with but that I was sure I could get my phone records and let him know on what days and times I had called so he could possibly identify who I spoke with on both occasions. He then made an excuse that they have "50 people answering phones at any given time" so it would be impossible to know who I spoke with. So he's trying to assert that with all of these people working at the same time he can guarantee I wasn't told something I was indeed told. He then said if I don't pay I will be reported to collections. This is 100% a scam!! Now my options are to pay the money, or go through with possibly having my perfect credit negatively impacted and the time and headache of disputing it and taking them to small claims court. I will be reporting to the Dr who referred me what happened and trust that she will no longer refer patients here as this is all a complete and total scam!!! Beware- do not even give this place any of your contact information. Why would they decide to charge me so many weeks later? Because they are likely hurting for money and fleecing people and banking on them just paying to avoid the hassleof dealing with them. I am going to report this to the Better Business Bureau.

Dr. So really listens to your concerns and answers your questions in easy-to-understand layman's terms. Dr. So also gives solid ophthalmology advice. His care of my eyes and his treatment of my glaucoma is second to none.

I usually don't write reviews, but I am deeply moved by how disrespectful my visit was here. I recently visited Pacific Eye Associates for an eye exam and contact lens prescription, and was extremely disappointed with the services of the opticians (non-licensed) Christian Lemus and (licensed) Carlos Ortiz. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that they were not interested in helping me. They seemed disinterested, and I could sense their lack of enthusiasm and passion for their work. Their behavior was unprofessional and reflected poorly on the establishment they represent.During my time, they did not provide clear instructions and did not answer my questions adequately. Their attitude was dismissive, and I felt like I was a burden on their time. When it came to the billing, they did not take the time to listen to my questions and disregarded my concerns. Christian said "you can't expect me to to know what we're going to bill you all of a sudden, I haven't done that portion yet" and this was a day after I went, and I had to go in person because they were dodging my calls. This is extremely alarming, because they were trying to charge me incorrectly for services rendered, and was trying to not only charge me for a non-mandatory service, but overcharge me over double what it costs at other clinics. When I pointed out my concerns, I was met with more indifference and a lack of interest in rectifying the situation. Now, I have to dispute the charges they're going to claim to my insurance, which is going to take up more of my time. Both opticians were snappy and rude for no reason, so I'm not sure why they're still employed at an establishment and job they dislike as you can tell by their faces, and overall attitude.I do not recommend the services of Christian Lemus and Carlos Ortiz, as their lack of professionalism and poor service is unacceptable. Their behavior towards customers needs to be reprimanded, and I would not return to their establishment again. If you're not convinced, look at the other reviews on this page that echo my sentiments, and the overall rating of this clinic.
