Pacific Eye is a very busy office with lots of staff who must work together to make sure that all patients receive the various levels of care they are there for. It takes a lot of coordination to do this and I think that Pacific Eye does a good job. Dr. Sung is thorough and pleasant answering all questions.

I saw Dr. Karen Oxford on Tuesday, Dec.3 and again on the 4th. The first visit she said I didn't need the anti-inflammatory that had been prescribed at an urgent care in NY, telling me to use hot compresses and over the counter drops. The next day, with blurred vision, extremely red eyes and gummy discharge I was seen again by Dr. Oxford, who then prescribed a steroid and antibiotic. I have not be able to fill either of these as written--the steroid because it is $500+ and my insurance and pharmacist sent notices to the dr office that other less costly options were available. The CVS finally got the prescribed antibiotic, but the copay for the single bottle of drops was a $70 I refused to pay that and the pharmacist got in touch with the dr office late on Thursday afternoon and succeeded in getting approval for a different drug. I am still waiting for approval on other options for the steroid, but the office offered a sample, which my husband picked up Friday afternoon before they closed for the weekend. While the office and nursing staff are very nice, I don't think Dr. Oxford is responsive to my health needs and insurance situation. This is the second time I have had problems getting generic prescriptions issued in a timely way from this office.

Dr. Allen is the best--extremely experienced, knowledgeable and thoughtful. He spends time explaining the results of his examinations and recommendations. My wife and I very much appreciate all that he has done for us and would recommend him without any reservation or qualification.
