It is very unprofessional for a glaucoma specialist told his patient that " you got glaucoma & eventually you will go blind"

Dr. King, in my experience, is a very good OD and solved a complex problem with my glasses prescription. However, steer clear of the optometrists! While Lisa initially seemed quite competent, she is not. The glasses frame she sold me is too small and after 4 times of trying to get it adjusted is still uncomfortable and does not fit. These frames were $400 plus another $400 for the lenses. When I asked them to start again with a new frame, I was given an apparently well rehearsed speech that once they cut the lenses, there are no refunds. I had a similar situation happen to me 5 years ago with another SF optometrist and they gave me a new frame and lenses with out charge. Pacific Eye told me that since they were not a retail shop they could not resell my frames. In the meantime, their office is so busy that you can't find a place to sit. I was told by Lisa that the benefit of getting my glasses from them is that they would work with me until they got it right. Apparently that only applies to the lenses, not the frame. On their first attempt, the lenses were wrong. Dr. King checked them and they had to be redone. These are not competent people. So, be forewarned. You can spend $800 and not have a pair of glasses that fit.

My wife also got a new pair of glasses about the same time I did. After a couple of months of wearing them, she also finds her frames the most uncomfortable she has ever had. That's 2 strikes.

While the doctors may be very good, the optometrists are not. Go somewhere else. I can't begin to relate how disappointed I am with these people. The only solution now appears that I will have to spend a minimum of $400-500 for new lenses to fit my old frames, which were comfortable.

My experience with Dr. Mary Kwong is very positive. She is very knowledgeable and detail. Although the office is very busy, she was not rushed and devoted the time needed to conduct the eye exam. I will definitely recommend her as the practitioner.

Dr. Oxford is superb. Very knowledgable, forthright, and a great sense of humor, as well. Yes, wait times are long and it can get very crowded - but they have fit me in same day when I've had a significant issue and I'm very grateful.
