Very displeased on how this eye practice works. I went there because it was close to the medical center that I work for. It was suppose to be covered under my health plan. Yet when they gave me a physician in their practice, the eye professional was not contracted with my health plan. THIS COST $370.00 OF POCKET, WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY, MY CO-PAY OF $10. They gave me the run around about how the account was handled, no one in that front office knows what they are doing. Plus it is way too big. I felt I was in a cattle range. Moving groups of people from one section to the next for testing procedures. Plus the staff spent more times talking with one another than taking care of the patients. I informed them how displease I was of their procedures and no one made any attempt immediately call a manager to resolve my issues. Save your money and valuable time on finding a better eye practice.

Dr Ann Fung is great, but I need to discuss front office staff & Optometrist...Except for 2 individuals, about 4 of the office staff including the billing person could stand to be more polite, professional & feel that they are always correct [even when they may be mistaken] about information. The Optometrist comes from the same school apparently and is equally odd and rude in temperament. It makes me think of going elsewhere, since one spends a lot of time setting up apts, checking in and with billing questions. It just does not have to be "as difficult as some of them make it"! I now go to a different Optometrist and he is great.

Dr. Anne Fung is outstanding. She is caring, thorough and just awesome. I'll be forever thankful to her for finding a semi-hidden tumor in my eye and helping me through treatment options. Yes, it is a big place that is super crowded, busy and sometimes takes a bit ... early morning appointments are best to avoid that.

very bad experience there today. I arrived at 10:15 for a 10:30 appointment. I was not seen by the doctor himself until 12:45!! That amounts to two hours and 15 minutes past the appointment time. I have no idea if this was the doctor's fault, thus I am not mentioning him by name. The place was jammed with many people waiting. Finally I was called by the technician for the preliminary exam, and then waited another 20 minutes for the doctor to appear. Inadvertently, after the exam, the doctor sent the prescription request to the incorrect Walgreens. Don't blame him for this either, as he asked if it was the Polk St. Walgreens and I said yes. I realized after exiting, however, that there is more than one Polk St Walgreens so I went back to the front desk to see if it was the Walgreens on Polk and Broadway. Again everyone was too busy to respond. Finally a nice gentleman tried to help me. I asked if they had a phone book so I could point out the correct Walgreens. No, they don't. By this time I am getting mad and he offers me crackers and juice. He goes somewhere where someone has internet access and googles Walgreens. No walgreens on Polk and Broadway he tells me! A this point, after a brief argument I give up. I had to get out of there or go crazy. My Walgreens on Polk and Broadway transferred the prescription. All I can say is, if you have three hours to spend, make an appointment!

I had the worst experience here. My first mistake was to rush there to be on time. The place is huge with many people waiting. I did not get to see a doctor first. I was seen by a technician for a eye test, then I had to wait for my eye to photographed. Some of the tasks are done in the waiting area (outside of an office). I.E. the photograph of the eye, some other test w/a machine are done in view of everyone else. My tech was surprised that I was not seen yet and then checks my folder in queue and tells me I'm next. During this wait, I see staff running around with blue folders without patients in tow. Meanwhile, there are 20 or so people waiting. The face feels like a clinic where every one just waits. If you are wanting a caring, professional, efficient appointment, this is not the place. Apparently, I have to select a star.
