Touristy, but why not?? I visited for dinner, as recommended by a rental car associate. For a weeknight dinner off-season, the place was fairly crowded, the food was good, and satisfied the needs of a tourist. It's a "floating restaurant," a clever use for a defunct car ferry. Lobster stew is okay at $7. The 1-1/8 lb lobster was tasty. Waitresses are nothing sophisticated and neither are they well-versed in customer service, but they do their job. I liked the write-up about the (now deceased) founder of the business. It adds to the touristy-ness of everything. They offer validated parking while having a meal at the floating restaurant.

Total tourist trap My husband and I went to DiMillo's for dinner one evening. After our mediocre appetizers we told our waiter we will be going on to the deck for a cigarrette and will be back momentarily. We returned to our table only to find 2 couples seated at our table with drinks and menus. A busboy cleared our table and seated another party. We had to wait 10 minutes to get another table. I had requested to speak to the manager but he/she refused to speak to us. The waiter offered us coffee on the house for the inconvenience. If the food was outstanding I would've been a little less upset--but it wasn't. We were disappointed overall.

nothing spectacular Tourist spot. Went for luch and was pretty expensive. The lobster club is better than the lobster roll. The lobster stew was around $7 for a cup but one of the best I ever tasted.
