Great food and atmosphere. We went at a great time as sun was setting and it was beautiful on the water. The waitress was decent but not very attentive

It has been a couple years since I first dine there, it hasn't noticeably changed - the ambiance, menu and dishes are consistently excellent and the capable staff provides great and timely service.

I ordered the Filet Mignon with green beans an baked potato - both cooked perfectly - the filet was so tender it wanted to melt in my mouth and came with a light, buttery cream gravy that complemented everything it touched.

My companion ordered the Broiled Haddock, also accompanied by green beans and baked potato. We both exchanged small portions of each other's main course and were both pleased - that haddock was perfectly cooked very tender and flaky with a light, thin crunchy crust.

Keep in mind this is located on Portland's along Wharf Pier, which can confuse your GPS if you only enter the mailing address on Long Wharf; if you use this address for Commercial Street on your GPS you will arrive precisely at the pier's entrance:

154 Commercial Street
25 Long Wharf
Portland ME 04101
United States

Remember to bring your parking ticket in with you and they will validate it on your way out no matter how long you stay - parking is always free!

P.S.: The servers don't mind separate checks, and the tip is calculated for you to choose either 10%, 15%, and 20% so you won't have to figure out the math. It is NOT automatically included!

Speaking of math, did you hear about the constipated mathematician? He had to work it out with a pencil! [G].

Bon Appetite!

This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint for my anniversary dinner with my wife. This upscale American seafood restaurant is in a renovated car ferry!

We had 5 o'clock reservations and were seated promptly by the nose of the ferry. We were able to catch a magnificent sunset over the bay.

The fresh bread and house butter was fantastic. I started with a crock of French Onion soup ($9) and it was one of the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the 1 lb. Lobster ($32) with green beans and I ordered a 9oz. NY Strip ($30) with baked potato.

It took a bit to come out but the Lobster was a great size and she said it was probably the best she'd ever had, and she LOVES lobster. My strip was cooked perfectly, but to be honest, it was an underwhelming steak. Kind of tough and a little bland. I've definitely had better at the Roadhouse. The potato was perfectly baked, as was I.

Our waiter was generally attentive and very polite, but this is not a 5-star caliber restaurant. Free parking with validation is a nice touch in busy Portland.

Towards the end of the meal I think the constant motion of the boat started to affect my lady a little bit, so that's something to consider if you're sensitive to motion sickness.

8.5/10 would recommend, especially for a special evening. You pay for the ambiance and the great seafood.
