We came here a couple of months ago. The hostess quoted us a 2.5 hour wait at around 630pm. Our party of 6 was seated about 15 minutes later. But even if we had waited longer it would have been worth it. The food was great. The chowder was fantastic and the best one we had the whole trip. Most of us ordered the lobster. They forgot to bring us the shell crackers but that was ok. The polenta it came with was really good. Blueberry cobbler was great as well. Our waitress (I think it was Jenny F.) was very nice and attentive even though she had like 5 other tables. She even split the bill for us after we forgot to ask at the beginning. The view was beautiful and the food did not disappoint. I was worried it would be some novelty tourist trap but it was a great experience.

DiMillo's blew my mind. To call the place "splendid" is not an overstatement. I could have been wearing a nicer jacket and yet they were so warm. I asked if we could look at the dining room when they asked where we wanted to sit. I took one lap around and knew that I wanted a window seat in the dining room and they did it. It was magical. Just pulling up to the place, with the lights strung around the boat and crossing the dock to get in, is so dreamy. The service was exceptional, the Maine pace is relaxing in itself. How nice to just sit with your superbly prepared cocktail and warm, fresh bread in such an elegant setting. For dinner, we had the Seafood Broil and the Seafood Alfredo. Wow. The alfredo was replete with a whole lobster tail, two claws, the biggest most succulent scallops and Gulf shrimp. The broil was the scallops, shrimp, and native Haddock served with an immaculate Hollandaise. The total with two cocktails and one cider was $85. That's nothing for what it was because it was possibly the best meal I've ever had at a restaurant. Oh, and I didn't even mention the sides with the broil. Jalapeno cheddar polenta and some perfectly cooked fresh veggies. Good lord. Thanks, guys!
