    Excellent restaurant with great food. It's a bit on the pricey side, but your paying for the experience in an old ferry boat floating on the water. A delicious mix of seafood and Italian, the fried haddock sandwich is the best I've had anywhere and I'm a huge fan of the salmon. The owners are some of the nicest people I've met and are all happy to interact with their customers. Make sure to visit here if you are ever in Portland, even if it means going out of your way!

    We have been to DiMillo's before but it's been well over 5 years, if not more. We were in Portland for a night this weekend and decided to give it a shot for old times sake. We weren't impressed. DiMillo's would have gotten 2 stars if it wasn't for the mussels which was the saving grace of the meal. We got them for an appetizer and they were DELISH. That and the bead was fresh and yummy. <br>After that we both got a cup of clam chowder and neither of us ate it after a couple of spoon fulls. It was basically straight thick cream with clams. No taste and so thick it was almost disgusting. <br>For entrees - we had the filet and the lazy lobster pie. Filet was very fatty which was disappointing. After seeing the lazy lobster on the menu I asked the waitress if they could do it baked stuffed. She told me they had a lazy lobster pie on that was not even on the menu and that it was prepared in butter with a ritz cracker stuffing and that I could add crab or lobster for additional. I went for it plain baked stuffed. When it came it was in a creamy breakdcrumb sauce and it really wasn't good. The lobster was way over cooked and chewy as could be. <br>Lastly, we waited an hour for our table and the waitress although she was attentive, she seemed almost annoyed when we asked for something. Her greeting to us after pouring water was "you ready?". We ended up putting in an appetizer to start and she stared at us pen in hand like we were putting her out by not ordering all at once. Anyways, if it wasn't for the mussels and the bread this would have been a 2 star. Not horrible but could have been much better, and WAS much better in the past.

    The food was more pricey than other restaurants in town. Only bought for the view, not the food.

    Yesterday 02/22/14 we had lunch at Dimillos and after a 30 minute wait we were seated in the upper deck I would call it, there were five of us in the party and to be honest if it were for me I would not come here, but my Dad loves this place so we took him there, my wife and I both had ordered Fisherman's Platters and I was eating my seafood platter when much to my dismay I chomped down on a clam shell. I wanted to discreetly say something to Steve Dimillo about this as I thought he would like to know about the quality control of food coming out of his kitchen, but my sister stated she would be "mortified if I did". To say we are unhappy, is a gross understatement, I don't think I will ever step onboard again!!!!

    I love Dimillo's :) the food is awesome. The lobster mac and cheese is the best!
