Dining on the deck at DiMillo's was a very pleasant experience for me. The prices are up there but you're obviously paying for the experience. Mom had the lobster dinner which was good but it didn't wow me anymore than any other lobster dinner that we had in Portland did. Her friend had the stuffed lobster. Now that was pretty good. We went for lunch so I had the crab sandwich with fries. The crabcakes were fresh and flavorful as well. Both tasted pretty good. If I ever go again, I'll have to make sure I work up an appetite so I can be a little more adventurous. We also had dessert on the deck the night before. There is a spot in the corner on the deck set up with a coffee table and couches and I insisted that we sat there. It was really nice and relaxing to lounge and look out on the water as night was falling. It was the perfect moment. I must add that our waitresses both times were very friendly and accommodating. Good experience all together :)

When I think of Maine, I think of lobster. When I think of Portland, I think of DiMillo's. DiMillo's on the Water is appropriately named. It's literally a boat on the water. The setting can be quite romantic at night offering nice views of the water, however it can also be a nice place to have lunch/dinner with family and friends (I came here twice with my sister). DiMillo's offers the most variety of lobster options (stuffed lobster, fried lobster, lazy lobster, etc). The lobster is outstanding. It's perfectly cooked and very flavorful. It's the only place around you can find stuffed lobster. Service is friendly and helpful. They vouch for parking. Prices can be a little steep, however its expected for a upscale seafood experience in Maine. I came here twice on my visit and plan on returning.

Very classy ambiance! If you want to feel rich, get your lobsters here! Ordered the twin lobsters. Enjoyed it very much. Wife got rib-eye, medium well. But its was dry though.

Tourist trap. It feels like red lobster Service is good.
