    I think you have to have a meal at Dimillo's when you visit Portland. It's that famous.<br><br>We had the steamed mussels (delish), spinach salad (huge), twin lobsters steamed (typical), surf & turf (good steak), fried clam dinner (good), and kids fried shrimp (like popcorn shrimp but huge portion). Everything was as good as expected, but not mind blowing.<br><br>The one negative is the steamed clams - they did not clean the clams well enough. It was the grittiest, sandiest, grossest dish of clams I have ever, EVER, EVER eaten. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she just said, yeah, they live in the sand so that happens. No, that does not happen if you soak the clams appropriately in the water. <br><br>So I probably would've given them a 3.5, but rounded up to 4 since the service was decent and I actually saw the owner there, I believe 2nd generation.

    We went on a random recommend from someone we met on the plane. This place sounds cheesy but it is a blast. <br><br>We walked in the front door and it was packed - the line moved quickly and the service was excellent. I was surprised how many local people I met while waiting. The prices were good and they give you the option of broiled lobster (my fav) opposed to boiled. They do a wonderful crab stuffing option. After a few cocktails, I was ready to wander off and call it night

    had the combo broiled scallops, shrimp, and fish. it was good, though the fish could have been better. but i really enjoyed the scallops and shrimp. thought the garden salad was just so-so and was disappointed since i heard it was good. knocked off a star since it took a very long time for us to get our food. server was really nice though.

    Never had dinner on a floating restaurant! This is pretty much the best waterview you can get (and you can get it from any point in the restaurant!). Food was delicious (we had seafood) and service is very good. Felt extra special being inside a boat.
