Great experience at DiMillo's on our first try. We made reservations and were seated immediately. Excellent salmon special ( topped w/ a cranberry ginger compote) and the pear and gorgonzola salad with a bit of salmon added were both amazing. Great service from Bob who suggested bread pudding for dessert which rivaled New Orleans' best. And the Almond Joy (coconut & chocolate) cheese cake was just sinful!!

Traveling back from Bar Harbor to Boston, we decided to stop in Portland for dinner. On vacation, we were shocked to see how crowded Portland was at 9:00pm. Not seeing any place to park, we just pulled into a lot ($6/hr) but the attendant said it's free if you eat @ Dimillos's. We looked at the menu and walked in. The hostess said about an hour for a table, but if you find a table at the bar area... Luckily we did and sat right down. We ate outside (aside from the occasional diesel fume from the boats) and enjoyed a great meal. We ordered a flat bread appetizer (which was very good) and after nice break, our meals came out. I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and my wife ordered.... My only regret was not being able to take the leftovers.

Eh... it was ok. Super fun experience. I just don't think I'd ever go back. It was exactly what I wanted it to be. A true Portland novelty. The food is WAY over priced. Drink list is really standard. Nothing interesting at all. Beer list is boring. Everything is fried.Yeah, the atmosphere is pretty cool, but it could be so much cooler if they just toned down the "tourist trap" feeling a little.
