I go here for drinks and apps. I have eaten diner here, but not years. The Bar area is large with views of the water. The same waitresses have manned the bar area for quite some time. Shrimp Cocktail are some of the best I have had; large, tasty, and expensive, but worth it every once in a while. Potatoes Skins, chowders and most other apps are good. If I was rating just dinner here I would give 3**, but since I live and die at the bar and the bar influences MY rating I am bumping up to a 4***. Whiskey Pour is average.

Ok, so we went here, finally, In April. I had the best baked scallop sandwich with a side of lovely cooked spinach. Yummy! So good and the view awesome. The drinks tasty! I do enjoy it here. I will come again for SURE!

You're really paying the view at this place. If you want great food, check out Old Port Sea Grill or Three Sons Lobster instead. First off, the wait was a little long for a late 2 p.m. lunch. We waited for about 25 minutes, but after that, the waitstaff though was really nice and attentive which goes a long way in my book.

My boyfriend and I came during lunch and they've got a few specials. I got a fried seafood platter with fried shrimp, clams, scallop and haddock with a baked potato for like $17 which isn't too bad, but the taste of the food wasn't anything special. Just tasted like generic fried seafood without much flavor. I might as well have bought something frozen from Costco.

My boyfriend ordered a 1 and half pound lobster with oysters, a clam chowder, salad, and dessert (a yummy blueberry cobbler) and that was about $40. The clam chowder I remember was really good and clam filled, and the dessert was to die for.

Overall, I didn't find anything to be above average except the view (which by the way looks great when you're sitting by the window but photographs terribly).

Unique floating restaurant build on an old retired ferry boat. Inside the corridor there are some nautical antiques, photographs, and charts that never failed to seize my curiosity. There are two sections to the restaurant. Once you cross the gangway into the ferry, left takes you to the bar section with patio seating, and right will lead you to the restaurant area.
I usually opt for the patio seating since I'm a fan of the outdoors. However on a nice day there is always a wait for the ten or so tables out there. The bar area is quite large with plenty of seating. There is a good view of the marina and the local ferries colors the bustle of the port during the fair weather season. Additionally, a good restaurant is frequently visited by locals as well - hence you'll meet some residents of the surrounding islands eating and "hydrating" here while waiting for their ferry home.
On to the food! Okay, a little pricier (10-15%) compare to other local restaurants in the area, but the quality of the food makes up for it. For the few times I've been at DiMillo's I've ordered a variety of meals ranging from Burgers to the Lobsterbake. Burgers are good sized and cooked to order, relative inexpensive in the lunch menu. Lobster bisque - creamy tomato based bisque with chunks (CHUNKS!) of lobsters inside. Frutti Di Mare is quite good as well but the portion is somewhat small. Lobsterbake is just awesome but pricy. One thing I was disappointed with was the Garden salad - blend and wasn't so fresh when I had it. Nevertheless the yumminess (if that's a word) of the food makes up for it.
Recommendation: take a local commuter ferry (mail run if you have time) and cruise different islands after lunch or before dinner - it's a experience you'll enjoy. Don't forget a jacket - it gets chilly even during summer time.

This place was cool. It seems like your in a restaurant on a boat (but it doesn't float or move). This place is good if your going in big group or on a date. I ordered the special: 2 lobsters with a side of potatoes for 20.00! you can't beat that anywhere in maine. You have the choice of Steamed or baked. The baked taste like stuffing .. reminds me of Thanksgiving. The steam was awesome .

They give you bibs to wear, so when you crack them suckers it doesn't go all over your clothes.

Definitely recommend this place. They validate the parking as well!
