An old school Portland standby. Waitress was very good. Reception/hostess station a little awkward and stand-offish... which is clearly backward. It's something I've noticed elsewhere in Maine. But we did have reservations and were seated quickly on a late June Friday.

I do think those pagers they give you that vibrate when your table is ready (and don't always work) cheapen the dining experience... Olive Garden-esque.

Traditional local fare in unique setting on an old boat. Food is very good. It's just that Portland has become a foodie town and the fine dining options are many... just make reservations very early for the hottest restaurants.
That said, I do think Demillo's should be visited at least once. It's a Portland classic

I felt this place is a little overrated. The ambience was really cool but I thought the food was mediocre. The wait times are crazy as well. We waited around an hour and were seated inside the ship. The pastas we ordered (seafood scampi, lobster Mac and cheese) were really bland. They did have really good appetizers. I recommend the tuna tataki and steamed clams.

Another tip is make a reservation a few days ahead if you don't want to wait in line. Their reservations fill up really fast, especially during the weekend.

Service was great! Food was good. A little pricey.
