Came on a Wednesday for lunch with a friend during my annual summer trip to Maine. Had not been to Dimillo's in years. Had a great meal with a fantastic view.

Started with a Bloody Mary and Blueberry Hard Cider. Both were very good. The Bloody Mary came with a jumbo shrimp. It was huge!

For lunch we ordered a scallop roll and a lobster club. Both were outstanding. The sallops were cooked perfectly, the bun was super soft, tasty tarter sauce and dill pickles complimented it beautifully. The lobster club was very big. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes with crispy bacon and lots of lobster meat

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch watching boats coming in and out of the harbor while we sat outside on upper deck. May have to make this part of my annual trip from now on!

We visited Boston just for kicks and decided to take a day and drive up to Portland. Maine that is...The weather in mid July was absolutely phenomenal(High 60's/Low 70's and sunny) so sitting over the water and enjoying a great meal seemed fitting. DiMillo's was our pick and we were seated out on the deck right away. Our appetizer of choice was the Haddock Chowder and Garlic Cheese Bread. The Haddock was very fresh and had a mild taste. The broth was thin and buttery-not thick like a clam chowder. We kind of wished we ordered the clam chowder because the Haddock chowder lacked flavor. The garlic bread with marinara sauce was on point but don't eat too much because you want to save room for the Lobster! Both the wife and I had to have the Lobster roll since we were in Maine of course. FRESH! AMAZING! Yes in all caps. At $19 bucks a pop it's well worth it. The lobster was cooked perfectly, not chewy, absolutely delectable. We almost want to retire in Maine so we can eat this all the time! I don't remember the red ale shown in the pic but it had a mildly sweet cider taste to it. I'm not big on sweet beers, but it fit in perfectly with the mood and environment. We met some nice folks from Oklahoma sitting next to us and they suggested that we drive over to a neighborhood called Munjoy Hill by the harbor. Very scenic, I recommend you check that out and walk off your meal. DeMillo's? Get some!

Ok, let's start with parking. They validate which is very convenient. Very organized and pleasant staff. The entire vibe of the inside dining area is very cool (nautical of course) and would be suitable for both casual dress or semi formal. The waitress was very attentive and on point with the water and drinks. Bartender has a heavy pour. Food, was outstanding. We had the deep fried lobster tails, the chicken parm and the seafood combo. The lemon butter sauce was incredible. We also had the cheese bread and calamari as appetizers. All that was just over 200 bucks for 4 people with two apps and drinks (including 18% tip). We would have tried the dessert but we were way too full!!

Excellent food, service and ambiance. I will be back some day.

Place was a little expensive but well worth the money for the view and the food. The 1 1/2 lb lobster was delicious and the sauted mussels were great to share. If you love butter you will be happy since everything was soaking in butter even my Chardonnay wine was called butter. They had ample indoor seating with social distancing and got a table without waiting (outdoor dining was a 1 1/2 hr wait) service was very good too.
