This place is hilarious. I completely understand and am thankful for how this place gets credit for revitalizing the Portland dock area, and maybe the Old Port, but oh my, it is now a bit embarrassing. Said, "what the heck, let's try it". What a mistake. If you need to bring your grandmother somewhere for a "view", bland huge portions,1940's ambiance- this is the place. I feel like they just dump the SYSCO food corp. boxes directly onto your plate. It felt like our server was speaking a different language. We must have been the only people in here under 60 years old. Pricey too! Even for a tourist trap! Hahhahahah. It might actually be worth going to this place if you want to reset your palette and have a two-hour eye-rolling session with your partner. It gets even better at the bar. Like someplace people think Gordon Gecko would have a drink at. Pretty funny place.

Well....the restaurant does have a lovely view. But it feels very touristy. The food was fine but next time we will opt for a place with more local flavor.

Uh worst restaurant in Portland. Why would you eat here with all these other fantastic restaurants is beyond me. The place was terrible.

The service and food surprised me with being better than expected for a touristy restaurant. The menu was packed with options, lots of seafood and other meals for those who desire something else. You're in New England and on the water so I can't figure out why you'd no eat seafood.
We had a decent size party (12) and they had no problem working us in. Two waitresses worked the table with efficiency.

I had been looking forward to eating here ever since doing research before my little weekend getaway to Portland. This restaurant kept popping up...and now I know why! I love how it's pretty much on a boat, minus the seasickness. Adds to the whole experience. We sat in the dining area and had a nice view of the other boats docked. Started off with a glass of moscato each and their lobster stew. Amazing. Milky and smooth with clumps of lobster on the bottom. We were both fans.

I had the calamari burger, which there wasn't a bad thing to say about as I chomped away at it. I liked the way they fried the calamari. Something in the burger was a little spicy but nothing unbearable. My boyfriend had a salmon dish baked in some kind of pastry, and sauteed in peas and some kind of pink sauce. Wow. Can't rave enough about his dish!

If you're not a local, like myself, check out their gift shop on the way in or out. Lots of cute Portland/Maine/DIMillo's items to take home!

Also big two thumbs up to the free parking provided.
