    Let me start by saying I have been going to Dimillos since I was a little girl. I still remember Tony DiMillo making his rounds at all the tables to check on the satisfaction of his customers. As an adult I have continue to attend Dimillos for lunch or dinner on several occasions and a few Christmas Eve's. Because of the lobster there it is my sons favorite restaurant. This year we tried again, on Christmas Eve, to get in for lunch as a family to celebrate the holidays. I called several weeks ahead of time and was told I could not make a reservation, it was first come first served. So I went to the restaurant about 45 minutes before the rest of my family would be arriving so I could put our name in but then was told there was no way they were going to be able to seat a party of seven unless they separated us, and not necessarily close together. As the young man at the booth is telling me this information, a large party comes in behind me letting him know they have a reservation. What? I thought you were not taking reservations. I asked the young man about this and he was quite rude in his response and I was clearly going to get nowhere. So I sat in the parking lot trying to find a restaurant that could take all seven of us so we could enjoy a nice lunch together. I went to leave the parking lot and was charged $8 because I didn't leave the parking lot within 15 minutes. Needless to say, they could not accommodate us and then I was charged for sitting in the parking lot scrounging for another restaurant to eat at. I left there very upset with no intention of going back.On another note, the Old Port Sea Grill across the street was very accommodating and pleasant with great food. They were more than willing to go out of their way to accommodate us.

    We booked DiMillo's for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party that immediately followed, and everything was excellent! Working with Mr. DiMillo was very pleasant and seamless; the food was delicious and the staff was excellent. Oh, and the view of Old Port and the water didn't hurt. True professionals! Very, very thankful for everything.

    This is our go to spot for lunch when shopping in the old port. We like to sit at the bar. I try to order something different but always come back to the scallop roll. It's delicious and sometimes I dream about it. I've never had a bad meal here everything is good. Great people working here also.

    When in Maine, lobster is a must. Although we were full we had to eat lobster so we stopped in without a reservation and were able to sit down for dinner. The inside was very classy and romantic. The window views were beautiful. Steamed lobster, lobster rolls for the kids, and deep fried lobster tail for me. Very delicious. Luigi was a great server! I thought we would be judged since we didn't order appetizers or dessert, but he was so nice and made us feel comfortable without explaining that we had just ate dinner. Steam Lobsters were all they are cracked up to be. Im not much for fried food but the tails were delicious
