I had the most incredible fried seafood platter that I've ever had at DiMillos. It could have fed a family of four. That's a little exaggeration, and the platter was seconded only by their lobster stew and steamed clams. This place is a jem and a gold mine. I almost hate telling people because I don't want it to be crowded. Very, very good management.

Great location on the water, very high novelty factor. Service and atmosphere was good. However, this is a tourist trap not a fine restaurant! Read all the 1-2 star reviews before you waste your money. I ordered the Seafood Arrabiatta, which was essentially egg noodles topped with 1/4 cup of bland sauce, with chunks of bland seafood on top. I had to order more bland sauce because the pound of pasta was barely covered by the portion it came with. No real flavor to the dish. I would have sent it back, but it was late and the restaurant was busy. My wife and daughter ordered lobsters, which were a bit over cooked and tiny for $30 each. I got the sense that this place relies on the novelty factor to bring in hordes of tourists to churn out as much over-priced food as possible--with little concern about taste. I would definitely not go back and question all the good reviews. There must be much better places in Portland if you are looking for good food instead of novelty.
