A friend showed me the place yesterday night. We ate on a luxurious boat andth that was already magic. Since we already had dinner, we sat in the lounge area and enjoyed some good wine (for a very very good price!), some crab cakes, streamed clams and even vegan pasta for my friend, thank to the kind attention of Charla, our server. Everything was deliciously fresh and prices were good based on the freshness, the chic atmosphere and the average prices. On the, menus, stupid kind and style of lobsters, crabs, clams and all seafood. Amazing experience!

An interesting place with good food. Service was a bit slow, buy the place was packed because two cruise ships had just hit town.

Had low expectations from what I heard and mass of people eating here. 20 minute wait. But it was nice and good food. Wait staff great and attentive. Food well presented and was not rushed at all. Don't pass it off as a tourist attraction, Mainers will like this too.

Ever since I was a youngster, I grew up digging (and cooking with) both hard and soft clams on the New Jersey shore. I know what fresh, healthy shellfish taste and smell like. A brief stop for lunch at DiMillo's was a wonderful experience. The head waitress solved our limited time available by offering us lunch at the bar with prompt courteous service and the absolutely best crock of steamed clams and the richest bowl of New England clam chowder I've had in recent years. If time allows make sure you learn about the development of this once dilapidated coaling pier by DiMillo in the 1970s. The ~600 seat restaurant is a converted ferry boat that is permanently moored at the wharf, a short walk from the cruise ship piers. When more than one cruise ship is in port, the waits for a table can easily stretch to 30 or more minutes at lunch.
