I got my surgery 2 years ago and I honestly so grateful to be able to wake up and not have to think twice about contacts or glasses. It was well worth the expense because the quality of care is exceptional. Thank you Dr. Mann.

Had LASIK 5 days ago at the Mann Eye Center in South Austin. Everything went well, and the staff - doctors included - really went out of their way to make this a pleasant experience. It is incredible to me that I can walk into an office legally blind, and walk out seeing 20/20 (albeit very hazy at first). Their technology is the best available, and they do a great job minimizing process for the patient.

I was given lots of information and reassurance before, during, and after the surgery, and at no point did I feel undervalued as a customer. The entire staff was excited for me on surgery day, and created a positive atmosphere. The procedure itself was relatively painless - just uncomfortable and disconcerting pressure - and recovery has been smooth, too. I like that they have a 1-day, 1-week, and 1-month follow-up plan that is included in the price; it makes me feel well-supported.

My only complaint is that they were running 2 hours behind schedule on surgery day, and that they aren't cheap. But, for something as important as my vision, it was worth it to me.

THANK YOU, Mann Eye!

I absolutely enjoy my new vision. It's the best money I've spent on myself besides the trip to Hawaii. No more eyeglasses! The staff and Dr. Mann answer ALL your questions and concerns. Dr. Mann did my son's vision about 3 years ago, and he still has no problems. My daughter had the laser surgery early this year and still loves not wearing glasses or contacts. Now it was my turn, I am soo glad I did it. I'm 50 years old and love my new eyes. Thank you Dr. Mann and all the people behind you.

Do it.
There are enough positive comments on here. The only thing I can add is that I doubted Roland when he explained how smoothly the procedure would go. I thought he was crazy when he told me that I could have the surgery then go out that night. I had the surgery, took and nap and was back to normal when I woke up.
I can't attest to what it'll be like in 6 years but right now it seems like the best thing ever.
