Update: Mann Eye Institute reached out to make sure the misunderstanding was corrected. I misunderstood the process and logic behind contact fitting. With that misunderstanding being a non-issue; I have no choice but to give them 5 stars. The exam went well and the staff was nice. My complaint comes from me being charged for services not received. My complaint comes from the checkout process. During my exam, I asked about being given a pair of trial contacts to test how they felt in my eyes. The examiner asked if I'd like a fitting to which I replied "No, thank you". When checking out I was holding my trial contacts and was told that I owed $90+ dollars for the fitting. I advised the rep that I didn't have a fitting, but they insisted on charging me for the service. I asked why I was being charged for a service for which I did not opt in, and was told "for the time it takes to do the fitting". I remained polite and advised them "That you charge me for what you have to charge me. I did not get that service but if you insist on charging me for something that wasn't done, then I will not argue with you". Well, as I'm sure you've figured out; I was charged.
