In the past two weeks I had cataracts removed from both eyes, yesterday was the second surgery. Other than for surgery, all my visits were at the Katy office. That is where I first met Dr. Brian Wright. He went over everything with me and told me what I should expect. He was very courteous, as was the entire staff. On the day of my first surgery, I arrived at the Main Street facility, the staff at the front desk was all business but the nurses were very friendly. Before going into the surgical room the nurses asked how I was doing, I replied I was starting to get quite nervous, one nurse made the comment that a hand holder was needed. I took it as a joke but when I was settled on the table there was Michael (I believe that is his name). He told me to squeeze his hand as hard as I needed to. Michael sat there holding my hand during the entire process. My only regret is, by the time I was able to sit up, he was gone so I missed telling him how much I appreciated what he'd done for me.While performing the procedure, Dr. Wright described everything he was about to do. As I was preparing to leave he came out to tell my husband and I how well everything had gone. The entire nursing staff at the Main Street facility is excellent.Dr. Stephanie Turk is who I saw for my followup visits. She is very friendly and thorough. She examined my eyes and took the time to tell me what to expect going forward and answered all my questions. Everyone working with her was also genial.I am thrilled with the results of my surgery. I highly recommend the Mann Eye Institute!
