I originally went in for my free LASIK consultation about 18 months ago, and was told I was not a good candidate (primarily due to the fact that my eyes were still changing, so not a real shocker). I went back last week, and was told I know appeared to be a perfect candidate and we could do the surgery as soon as I was ready. I had the surgery the following morning. Throughout my visits, I met with Dr. Brunson, Dr. Chin, and Dr. Mike Mann. The majority of my time was spent with Dr. Brunson. He and his staff were extremely professional during each of my visits and took the time to talk with me about the results of each of my various scans, and helped me understand why I was / wasn't a good candidate for LASIK. I never felt like I was being rushed out of the office. On the day of the surgery, it was clear how experienced the doctors were - they were excellent at walking you through the procedure, answering any / all questions you had, and keeping you calm. In fact, Dr. Mann (who actually performed the surgery) and his operating staff did a fantastic job during the procedure to keep things light and calm, and talked with me throughout the whole process to make sure I knew what was happening, and to make sure I was doing okay. All in all, the experience was fantastic, from start to finish, and I consider it the best money I have ever spent.I would recommend Mann Eye Institute to anyone, whether you're just interested in a regular eye exam, or if you are interested in LASIK.

I had LASIK surgery a week ago, I now have 20/15 vision! The staff here is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend Mann Eye Institute for LASIK, I have zero complaints!

Aweosme job! Just did the LASIK procedure with Dr.Wright and his staff. They were very nice and eased any tension I had. They explained everything and I felt very comfortable with them. The difference between them an Berkeley which I also consulted with was that Mann eye gave me a full work up. I felt more confident with them and they were close to home! I recommend them to anyone!

I waited 6 months after LASIK to write this review so i could have enough information to write this to people who seriously are inquiring about this process. I did a lot of research too and, as you can see by the star rating, am very happy with my choice. I came in with very little questions since I already did research on the process, but during my pre-exam two nurses and the doctors made absolutely sure that I had no questions. Everyone was very friendly in a genuine way that showed they cared. I actually looked forward to my next visits. The process could be a bit scary for those who aren't adventurous. The staff does EVERYTHING they can to make this 20 minute eye correction process as comfortable as possible. They explained everything they were doing, were comforting, and asked about me the whole time. 2 hours after the process I could see better than I've been able to my entire life. I did have very dry eyes the 1st couple months and even to this day six months later still have eye dryness. They recommended eye drops for me and have been using them less and less. One day my eyes got very dry and my right eye vision blurred. I got scared thinking the surgery went weird or something and emailed the institute. I emailed the doctor and got a response within 5 minutes telling me not to worry and that allergens were very high. I was better the next day. They checked up on me via email to make sure and even asked twice if I'd like to come in after reassuring me that everything was fine. I declined. I have been to every follow up visit and every appointment check up after LASIK and all visits were free. It is hard for me to believe that businesses like this still exist. TL:DR - If you are questioning LASIK you can show up and ask all the questions you want to find out if it's right for you. If you have decided on LASIK then I would definitely use this establishment. I was at the one in Katy. Dr. Wright is my Doctor and Ashley Hassen is my counselor who helped me through the process and continues to help me via emails. Highly recommended. This is definitely the best place to go for glasses and contacts. Its never a long wait and they dont use that stupid 'air puff' machine, which is truly refreshing; in fact, they dont even have the machine in their office at all! And even better, they are as friendly as they are knowledgeable!
