I really love Mann Eye, but my only complaint is that I always have to call back after my visit due to things being forgotten...i.e., prescription being sent to the pharmacy. This time my appointment to a specialist was missed. Overall, I am happy!

The wait to be called into see the doc was way too long. We waited in the waiting room for an hour before being called for our appointment. Finally called into do the photos of eye for cataract surgery. Then sent back out to waiting room to wait again to see the doc. After seeing the doc we were then sent back to take another set of photos again. The same ones as before! Then sent back to an exam room to wait for...... I have no idea. They didn't say why. We sat there for 20 minutes til someone came and said we could leave!! All in all that appointment took over 2 hours. Most of it was sitting and waiting. Why?

Edited:Amending review. Nick Shoffner, administrator for this location, contacted me personally this morning (day after the bad experience) to apologize and offered to go as far as personally delivering my glasses to me today (on a Saturday). Ultimately we wound up meeting back at the store where he got me taken care of. Thanks again, Nick, for turning a bad experience into a good one. Im only leaving four stars because the drawback to this location, on the optical side, is there is not a very large selection of frames available for purchase. In the end I found something in my budget that I liked, but if youre looking for a ton of frame options this might not be perfect for you.Original review:Staff on my initial visit were friendly, everything went fine. My review is primarily regarding picking up my glasses once they were ready.I received a call late yesterday that they were ready. Unfortunately too late to make it over to pick them up. I asked what was the latest I could pick up the next day (today) and was told as late as 3pm, so I told the lady who called me that I would be there between 2-3pm the next day to get them. I left work early today and arrived just prior to 2:30pm only to discover that the office was closed, all staff had left. I called the main customer service line and was told they probably decided to leave early.Of course today is the Friday before a holiday, so now Im stuck without my glasses over a long weekend and will have to leave work early yet again on Tuesday to try picking them up again.Dont tell your customers that youre open til a certain time if, in reality, youre open until staff decide they want to close. Dont advertise business hours that arent accurate if, in fact, theyre subject to random change. Thanks for keeping me half blind for an extra four days. Yall have been super helpful.

The staff and especially Dr. Barker are phenomenal!Always patient and explain everything to you until you understand. Only reason didnt give 5 stars is because no mater how many times I called to ask what the charges would be or if any covered by insurance I kept getting told well let you know before your appointment but still didnt know until I showed up for appointment.

Most everything was good except that I had to check-in on a console that was viewable by everyone in the waiting room. One of the questions asked was my social security number which I didn't want others to see as I typed it in. Mann Eye Institute needs to find a better way to check in or else not ask for personal information on a publicly viewable console.
