They spent a lot of time w me .. was going to hold off on doing the surgery and wanted to try contacts for a while they charged me a fee without disclosing there would be a fee. They cannot fix my vision w lasik but did not tell me that.

Really good eye institute, very professional and courteous staff. Dr Tan was outstanding, he took the time and explained everything very patiently with details, has great bed side manners. 5 stars all the way!!!The only thing I'd recommend is that they hand over the prescription right away instead of having to go or walk over to their own 'eye-glasses shop/place', that place can be suggested as an option instead of having them handover the prescription?!? Seems a bit weird and odd!?!? This part of the gets 2-3 stars!

This business by appointment was selected for me by the VA clinic of Texas City due to my choice of receiving a complete eye exam before the VA system could schedule me for a September visit, three months away.It was an option to have at the time I visited my primary care last month. The VA only covers the exam, so I'm rating this business on that choice. And not based on their optical center. The front reception staff, although knowledgeable, are limited in their ability to assist you with all of your questions. Besides assisting you with checking in or out for your appointment, they also handle your intake for reception by your exam and prescription issuance if by request. Unless you are a US veteran (military) as well. In that case, you'll be issued your prescription upon checking out in case you decide to obtain your one and only pair of glasses by the VA.It is unknown by me at this time that the VA will have me return here in 1 to 2 years for my next exam in the future. Based on their future scheduling and optometrist availability. And too, considering the reception here by handling your consent forms by obtaining your name initials and signature of your name digitally in person or online before admittance. They will provide you with answers or clarity about your situation if you are patient until they are able to get back with you, with your request and answer. In conclusion, Dr Tammie was pleasant and professional as she can be, in a public profession she holds together and handles daily business in Baytown.

The Ophthalmology Assistant was very knowledgable, courteous. However I was not pleased with the doctor.
